The problem is taking away their choice of not doing them. I dont think a lot of people will be too happy to realize theyre forced to do everything in the game.

Ooof I get what you mean but I love doing optional stuff especially for the little niblets of lore or cute little go-nowhere storylines I've done every sidequest on every map zone I love this stuff but personally the reason I didn't wanna do Hildibrand was purely down to personal taste. The humour is just not for me and that was fine whilst it was completely it's own thing. I still did do them but I didn't enjoy it. I haven't completed the relic though because the way they implemented them this time in tangent with involving Hildi has just made me resent it completely. Because like you said it's optional but it was a double whammy of something I would normally choose to do [relic grind] being implemented badly [no grind] and with a story line I'm not keen on. If it had just been any other storyline D:
