I agree with this. I don't like many western games that other ppl consider fun like Skyrim i think its boring, cause of the shitty game play. I do find a lot games fun from both sides tho. Many of the PS1 classics that arrive on the PlayStation Network are popular. Everyone enjoys the fact that Legend of Dragoon is heading to the PSN very soon, and how long was Final Fantasy VII, and VIII stayed on top of the most popular top 10 download list? Many of them titles have a style of gameplay that is dying and yet, with the myth that all westerners only want to play other stuff, those classics often outsell new digital content constantly.
Maybe that's a small message. That adventures with deep storyline, and color still have a place in this world.
I'm going to take Keiji's advice and disagree with ya there. If I could get Skyrim's level of depth in a Final Fantasy setting I'd be in uber gaming heaven.

So far it's just a rumour but I really wouldn't be surprised. Their worlds always made me feel like the online aspect was. . . . well, not lacking from them, but rather could be there.

It'd appeal to a very small demographic, as TES is basically a sandbox game with a story so that you can actually see the credits roll for the game. As I've said time and again, it would have worked back when EQ and SWG were up there in terms of MMO. A lot of the stuff we take for granted in Skyrim would have a ton of timesinks built in because of the fact it would be an MMO.So far it's just a rumour but I really wouldn't be surprised. * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

We don't know which MMO they are making so it's anyone's guess, but they do want the entire IP of Fallout to themselves since Interplay is in breach of their agreement with Bethesda and have failed to produce an MMO in the time they had agreed to. It's a good guess that the reason Beth is fighting so hard is to make the MMO themselves but we don't know for sure.
Edit: I'm behind on news, Bethesda do now own the rights to Fallout Online...![]()

From what I heard Interplay is still making the Fallout MMO but because they lost the law suit they've had to name it something different so it'll basicly be a Fallout MMO just not called it to avoid further problems. We don't know which MMO they are making so it's anyone's guess, but they do want the entire IP of Fallout to themselves since Interplay is in breach of their agreement with Bethesda and have failed to produce an MMO in the time they had agreed to. And Beth's parent company has setup a MMO division and a TES MMO division

this game just got over 2milion from donations from the site kickstarter.com and is going into production.
i made a thread while ago but it got no replies really about how SE should make a kickstarter for a new ffxi-2 ..if that is what it would take to show them that they have supporters for such a mmo.
