Hiya again!
So, we all have played this game after making a character. I tend to gush over mine... gosh I love my character. I mean, look at him go! He can do it!
Okay... I'll compose myself.

So, how do you feel about the character(s) you play in game? What gravitated you to choose their physical traits? Do you have a personality in mind for them?
Also, if you have any small bit of lore about your character feel free to mention it! ^^

To start I'll say I love how Miqo'te have tails. It makes me very happy inside. The cat traits are amazing and kept me playing. They are just so expressive. I also wanted to try a skin color I've never used before so I went with a shade that is very fantasy. Rhel'a is a himbo (socially) who don't usually understand if he is being threatened. He might take things literally and give direct answers.

Playing my lala just puts a smile on my face every time. The waddle if I walk, the emotes, the facial expressions. How can I not adore the little pocket goth?



My main piece of lore I have for her is that she's half dunesfolk and half plainsfolk.

I'm so glad that when I was picking, I dodge catgirl and au ra. This was the right choice, and the free fantasia I got will continue to gather dust in my saddlebag until the servers go offline.

Your character is adorable. Lalas have a humor aspect to them that I've grown to appreciate (I mean, look at them. They absolutely kill gods regularly)

I created Zephyr after my Highlander kitten (named Zephyr) died at 8 months due to FIP. I later adopted his sister Selene around the time I started XIV.

I created Zephyr to by a hybrid of the two, taking Zephyr's name and white fur. He got the grey skin as Selene is grey, and his last name as an homage to Selene being a moon goddess:

Meaning of Menodora: Name Menodora in the Greek origin, means Blessing from the pioneer, the female deity of the Moon.

He started out very young, idealistic and innocent and I focused on White Mage to heal others, given how he passed. Over the past 9 years I aged him with fantasia and he got a bit hardened by the time he made it through Endwalker, and when not battling evil trains as a Monk to keep his mental in check.

many layers to your character! I like the detail with aging your character. Being a WoL must really age an individual. Sorry about your cat! Must have been difficult.

I can't imagine anyone would live through the entirety of the WoL's journey without changing in some way. For my internal RP, in the despair in EW he was actually a Reaper, but afterwards went to a Monk temple to process all that trauma to avoid going too far down a darker path.

Fascinating! Yeah especially with how reapers are involved in EW and the lore on Monks.
Right now this character of mine is still in HW (I have played through EW on another character, however) but I do sometimes wonder how the story putting him through the ringer will change him. Well, maybe when I get into RP I'll be able to better understand that... or my usual pondering.
I have read a fanfic where a WoL became numb to pain and did purposefully harmful actions at themself (taking on dangerous tasks even though their body is still in poor condition post EW) just to feel something again.

I just play 2 characters. Lala is great, but i want to have catgirl too

Very interesting and would love to see how much he stays the same, or how much he changes I don't RP with others - I did years ago but I didn't really get the in depth character development I wanted out of it. A lot of RP is very "light" and social-oriented so I kind of gave up on it. But I do like to head-canon as I play and internalize my RP.

Oh definitely, internal headcanons are always fun! and yeah I agree, in my experience a lot of rps are very light. Can be fun if you want to meet new people though!
So far Rhel'a has been getting more friends. I have been grinding out tribal quests so in true Rhel'a fashion he will be befriending many individuals! I also plan to give him a silly chocobo-themed glam (more so in theme rather than having a chocobo costume) for machinist. Lemme let ya' tho- chocobo breeding so much pure RNG (the mask requires a level 9 pedigree chocobo). I think he is in his silly arc right now. As a writer this pleases me as I can stab him in the heart later and really squeeze him like a stress doll. Will his unbridled optimism sway? who knows!
