you will never get the content gluttons to ever admit they are the problem not the content or the game.
this game has to force me to do the content i like by rerunning it that's call longevity people!!!
if the rewards are something i dont want to reun for that's SE's problem i have to like all the rewards to care about it at all!!![]()
Well that’s fair, I just get up in arms because it feels like anything ever said is met with some sort of hand waving and after a while it just gets so exhausting. I love FFXIV and I want it to do well because I don’t really have another mmo to fall back on outside of ffxi.
The reason we have lack of content:
[Issues(weaknesses) with FFXIV ]
Content: The content we get are short lived and has low replayability..
Difficuility: No Midcore
lack of player interactions: The game focus more toward the solo gampley. rather than the MMO part.
PvP: SE underestimate what good pvp content can do for a MMO.
If ffxiv actually had good pvp; we would have endless content to do outside the typical pve content.
☆SCH/AST/DNC/VPR/SMN☆
CC is actually fine, it's pretty fun, the other modes not so muchPvP: SE underestimate what good pvp content can do for a MMO.

I play p much exclusively with my partner, we do all content together so we haven't got to try CC because there's no duo queue :C
The point about the graphics overhaul makes me think back to a question asked more than once on these forums over the years. People wanted graphical updates or QoL and were asked if they would be content if the game didn't get as much new content while that was being worked on. I think we have our answer.
I thought the problem was Endwalker is bad
And people said in those threads that if they did that people would throw a fit. Course people also said that they would be totally fine if the devs went and spent time on said things. Now I don't know if those who said they'd be fine with the drought are the same ones who are complaining now or if they're different ones. Course there is no pleasing some as even when we get a lot of QoL people complain about it until they run into something that makes them go "Oh damn they finally did X". Stormblood also had a lot of QoL and got crapped on.The point about the graphics overhaul makes me think back to a question asked more than once on these forums over the years. The tradeoff I remember the developers discussing was this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._and_soken_at/Q: FFXIV has realistic-style graphics, so you have to keep up with the latest trends. Are you jealous of cel-shaded games because it's not as strict for them?
Yoshida: It wasn't my idea to turn FF into an MMO, but ever since I took over, I've felt that we have to show off that we're an FF game. I'm not jealous of other games. We like high-end games and want to play games like that, so we think about things like using more bones, making the movements smoother, making long hair flow better, etc.
But if we did those things, then we'd only be able to add 2/3 the amount of equipment per patch. Volume is part of quality, so we can't let that drop either. It's a double-edged sword. Our current assignment is to keep researching how we can efficiently create high-level assets. If the timing works out, then maybe we'll be able to upgrade the graphics.
And it was that tradeoff which some people said they were fine with if it meant better character customisation and/or textures, particularly given that there were already complaints about a lot of the gear being recycled or unimpressive at the time, and also understandable given that this directly involves the creation of graphical assets rather than stuff you'd expect separate teams to work on and on the assumption that they did not find a way to handle this process efficiently (he remarks on it elsewhere in the same interview.)
Besides, it was not the only thing going on - production of 16 was also taking place (and is due another 2 future DLCs) and it is now known that that game borrowed staff from 14, which people are understandably less than sympathetic towards. This is alongside the attempt to redesign a lot of older content to be trust-compatible. And the rationale given by the developers is less the workload that the graphics upgrade (modest as it is) is causing them, but based on what they claim they took away from player feedback/sentiment on the relic zones and Yoshi's perception of player priorities. If anything, it is more a case of poorly targeted and designed new content than the graphics upgrade eating into their zone design.
