Personally I would rather have Ren explain why he disagrees and he is respectful mostly about it, then read " someone else on this forum say they are going to share every streamer link and if you don't like it you are not in charge of the forums capiche? "Ren has a tendency to frustrate people, and not everyone seems to deal with that frustration in a reasonable way. Personally, I think it would be best for all parties involved if the frustrated folks would just stop interacting with him. I've mostly avoided interacting with him directly after seeing how he approached arguments with other people in other threads.
As for reasons, well.. Ren like to argue past people; That is to say, sometimes he doesn't actually seem to read or understand the thing he's replying to, and will just continue to make arguments and points that don't really make any sense in the greater context of how the conversation has progressed. He resorts to bad-faith tactics a lot, because he tends to take positions that are very difficult to defend otherwise. This by itself is not by any means uncommon on these forums, but he often pairs it up with accusations of his opposition doing the very the thing he himself is actually doing.
Again, people should really just leave the dude alone. Nothing productive will come from the constant back and forth.
You know of whom I speak.
Above all else, seeming reasonable and at least somewhat pliant.
When it comes to certain posters, everything they argue seems to spiral outward from a preconceived narrative; Their conclusions have been formed first, and their reasoning is contrived retroactively to support them. To put it simply, there are people that haven't reasoned their way into their beliefs: They've believed their way into their reasons.
Those are the types of people I find unlikeable, and they exist on either side of the proverbial 'isle' here.
If you want a serious answer, it's because you tend to come right out of the gate using very charged and negative language. Many of your posts contain insults, which leads to a perception of you being toxic and angry.
For example, in the recent Zepla thread, your very first post was an insult directed at the topic of the thread.

It's just a thing on any MMORPG forums. WoW, FF14, GW2, ESO, you name it they hate youtubers. There could be a youtuber who makes videos about all the minions in the game and where to find them and the forums would still hate them.

It's all kinds of people on any form of social media, including these forums. There WILL be people who hate them, and the streamers and youtubers are aware of it because to reiterate on something that someone said a long time ago:
"FFXIV Players are unable of accepting criticism about their game."
It has turned into a negative stereotype for people who play XIV, and has been prevalent historically when I've interacted with players of all kinds across all NA DCs. The moment you speak ill or critically of the developer or of the game, they will come out of the woodwork to defend it.
Perhaps it's because their viewpoint is different?
You do realize that this sentence implies that those who you disagree with should "stay in the woodwork ... where they belong", right?
Congratulations, your meaning was read and acknowledged.
Glad to know you are so upset about Zepla. Zepla haters are everywhere !Personally I would rather have Ren explain why he disagrees and he is respectful mostly about it, then read " someone else on this forum say they are going to share every streamer link and if you don't like it you are not in charge of the forums capiche? "

The word "hate" is used frequently these days to cover a range of emotions that start at "mildly disagree with X" to "mildly annoyed by X" to "would destroy X if it was in my power".
I assume the OP was throwing the word around without understanding which emotional range they meant to convey.
I'd wager that there are a large number of people who totally ignore YouTubers. Or go to YouTube for the memes and laughs. There are also a number of people who religiously follow YouTubers (or other Social Media celebrities).
I personally enjoy watching K-Pop music videos. Go Stray Kids!
For FFXIV, Larryzaur videos were fun during the early years of the game. I prefer practical videos from MTQcapture and Meoni's videos can be very useful.
I've always seen Zepla as more of a Streamer than a YouTube personality ... probably because of the format of her videos.
Frankly, if I want an opinion about something in the game, I'll generate my own. No need to know, or care, if Mrhappy1227 agrees with me.
