Maybe because people agree with her criticism. For month people that have this kind of criticism has been shut down by some part of the community saying "Your opinion doesn't count, you're a hater" or "you're just a small vocal part of the community". That thread being so popular is just a proof that there is more to that, that's a subject people care about. The fact the thread on the new video (which was far weaker than the previous one) from yesterday or the day before is already dying out when the first one continue to live strong goes that way.
I wish we could do without all the ad-hominem and the trolls bloating the thread but hey, every thread is like this, it won't happen without SE doing some moderation.
Why do people bring a youtuber instead of just doing the criticism. We tried for month, and got shot off. Now we have one of the biggest FFXIV creators (or at least was for a long time, I don't know exactly I knew who she was and saw clips of her, but that endwalker patches video was the first complete video of her I saw) that comes around with the same argument we had for month, of course people will " " "follow" " " her.
Like it or not, she has far more weight we individually have, and it's harder to say"Your opinion doesn't count, you're a hater" or "you're just a small vocal part of the community", when there is proof that thousands of people agree with that. Now the defense mechanism has become "It's a streamer, you're not gonna listen to her, right? Right? That would make you a sheep, right? Right?"
Maybe if the community could take some lvl of criticism when it comes without labelling people as hater, we would not be there, the reaction to her video would have been "Yeah, people already said a thousand times, you're late to the party."
