I find it very funny how people are dunking on op but I gotta ask one thing. Who remembers the order of mechanics in alliance raids?? Naturally I dont give a damn if people cheat in pve but I am wondering.

Personally speaking I can't name every mechanic (actually I'm just bad with names in general so that's a problem even in current content LOL) in a fight but even if its been a while I can generally recall it quickly enough to act.

Actually recently I ran Void Ark again and got most of the mechanics right on the first try. Only screwed up on Cu Chulainn because I mixed up which mechanic happened when lol

Yeah, you conveniently missed the part where later in this thread the OP finally caved and told people the mechanic that roused their suspicions and people gave them multiple signs(including an obvious cast bar) that would explain the player in question's movements.

Then op's other tank had the castbars for help and in fact played within their window of opportunity.

For that mechanic specifically you can move before the castbar if you remember the timeline correctly. Not something I would bother with doing for alliance raids but that's neither here nor there.

Laughing at the concept of needing to cheat through a 24 man raid. And at the thought of caring as though it really changed the outcome of clearing it.

Can’t say I care enough about the story though to get up in arms either way.

It's called building muscle memory (or whatever it's called for a videogame) after running content a certain amount of times.

Most times I'm not thinking that I have to move out of something, I just move. In fact, sometimes I'm slower at reacting and moving if I think about it.

I do alliance raid every day pretty much and I don't even think about it on some of them. I do keep my headphones on so I often know where we are from the music and audio cues. And those can indicate something before the actual mechanic gets telegraphed.

Plus OP mentioned this is a tank so they should be pretty close to the boss. And on the particular mechanic described it would be very easy to preposition as a tank.

I don't think it's that unlikely for someone to be using Cactbot in a 24 man.

You used to see it in almost every single p8s pug last tier, it's in much wider use than people seem to realize.

Heck, one of the games biggest streamers was caught using it in dungeon roulettes when he messed up his audio channels once lol.

I just thought it was weird how many people were running interference for the accused, when addon use really isnt all that unlikely.

I would not think all bosses. But some do have random splash down circles that you have to move from. But how would an addon even know where a random splash was going to take place? I thought they start from a random players position?

I admit I have been bored and maybe seen how many vuln ups I can get as a tank and not die.I don't think anything under 4 stacks is even worth dodging in 24 man. It is the instant death over the edge ones.
