Let's talk about Atma

It's not that long, maybe 2 to 4 hours if you're unlucky. ARR relic has some really grindy steps that would benefits some rework, but this ain't one. At least it's fates, content that last for 3 min then you get another one. There is RNG everywhere with relics, and some far worst than that. In the list of RNG steps that need some kind of rework, this one is so far on the list that if you have a problem with that, you might as well just stop trying to get the relics.

Or unlucky like me and do 20+ fates in a zone and don't get a single drop. It sucks and it has no logical reason to anymore especially when you have to sync down for fates.

It's the beginning of a long slog and it's also 10 year old content. The drop rate should at least be 25%, if not 50%

Is someone going to tell them?

I am consistently hopping zones every 4-5 FATEs, and it's so absurd because I can hop through the entire list and get nothing. Then I start the next day from central shroud, drop 2 maiden atmas one fate after another and then nothing else drops for the rest of the day.

I genuinely do not understand how can someone defend RNG, it doesn't reward focus and hard work, it rewards dumb luck. A player can spend well over a week trying to get all the atma crystals, while another player can just get insanely lucky and have 11 sets of atmas ready in like a day or two. That is hardly fair.

If at the very least completing FATEs actually gave something useful so as to compensate for lost time other than pocket change of Gil and GC seals.

Don't think anyone has done 11 sets of atmas in a day or two, assuming that's a quiet jab at me. It took me a few weeks to grind that out.

I'm not against improvements towards RNG, it's just more so that this is older optional content. There's worse older content out there in that regard I feel. Would rather they focus on not making that mistake again, with this as their reminder.

Not trying to snark at you, but I was able to get all atma in a weekend over about 4 hours lazily grinding.

It was not fun and I’d never do it again, but I did. I was able to grind Excalibur in a week, mostly a few hours a day.

I didn’t feel my rng was particularly good, but rng gonna rng.

I highly doubt 11 sets are possible in a weekend, but a try hard no-sleep balls to the wall kinda guy might be able to pull it off.

I guess my main point is more directed to OP- that RNG does suck, but it’s not really THAT unreasonable to farm up a single set of Atma.

This. For an ancient now only for appearance weapon, it should be guaranteed.
