I had this problem too. Go on the lodestone homepage from your zone, and then click on the news for the survey, and you'll get a link for the version of your region.I can't answer the survey because i am trying to access from outside the NA...i am from Brazil and i won't use a VPN just to provide some feedback.
Weird policy. They probably have our public IP when we access the game...they could just match tables to validate our answers, a few lines of SQL wouldn't kill a dev.

It took me way too long to realize that the Magus Sisters minion name actually starts with "W" (Wind up Magus Sisters)...
Hey other me, you gotta embrace the fact FFXIV is pretty much like second life at this point (actually you shouldnt, but it really is basically second life)
When I saw that survey and the fact the main question on the facebook post was "what is your favorite mount/minion ?" as a SURVEY, I actually laughed out loud because this is really what this game goes down to, instead of asking what type of content people prefer, what area they would love for housing next, maybe some difficulty related questions in regards to content, but nah, what matters with this dev team is what people's favorite minions and mounts are, its pretty pathetic really
And then I get blamed for having absolutely 0 trust in this company and 0 hope that things will eventually get better, when I see this, I can see very well that I am right to not have any hope in regards to the future of this game
I was actually hopeful when I heard there was a survey, here I was hoping it was similar to the one we had for 1.0! Then I opened it and quickly reminded why I’ve slowly over time finding myself more and more disappointed with the direction I see the game continuously going. I bring up community based content, more focus on midcore content and people get upset because I’m “gatekeeping” an MMO and the fact it’s heading into a single player visual novel is a good thing and how the game is no longer for me. Just completely deflating lolHey other me, you gotta embrace the fact FFXIV is pretty much like second life at this point (actually you shouldnt, but it really is basically second life)

Oh I totally get you, I'm at the point I dont even bother logging in tbh, it's just not worth it sadly, I came from WoW like 2 years or so ago hoping to enjoy FFXIV's content, and all I found was completely boring jobs with 0 identity, raids that are mid at best with savage being a good equal to HC difficulty, and ultimate being mythic raiding difficulty in WoW,problem is that there's barely any ultimates to do, 5 IIRC, and savage just really isnt fun to me at least because of the way jobs are, the 2 minutes meta amongst many other things, this game lacks an identity and uniqueness, it's so blandI was actually hopeful when I heard there was a survey, here I was hoping it was similar to the one we had for 1.0! And when you see a survey like this, you know very well SE will keep on catering to people that are modding and venue goers or people just afk all the time sitting in Limsa doing absolutely nothing just so they dont feel like they "have to do something" because god forbid they would have ANY reason to log in
This game is doomed, it will keep on going for a few years though, it aint dead, but the population will continue shifting from people doing content to singleplayer users and more modders/venue people, while there will continue to be less and less content pumped out as it's not even needed at this point, even in the case that people complain, they have an actual free defense brigade everywhere on every social media to defend the game's problems, so it doesnt change, and never will.
SE wont kill this game, they make an absolute massive amount of money from it, they have no reasons to want it gone, the community itself will kill it over time.
At the same time, they asked what was your favorite foe/encounter, which character do you like to see in a side content and at the end your description of FFXIV.
I mean...they didn't cover just casuals. You are overreacting.
Good I’m not the only one who thought “can I have a survey about my current opinions on the game, not a stupid flavour survey about my favourite aetheryte”
As to be expected mainsub totally missed the point and is gushing over this survey
I love bluebird because it sits on my shoulder and makes me feel happy, and I was glad to be able to say that to SE so :P to all the debbie downers.
