Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

This thread is all over the place now. Can ppl at least use they’re/there/their correctly in a sentence?

I’m enjoying FF14 immensely. I log in everyday to do things. I make goals depending on the time I have that day. I’ve taken a month break here and there, mainly for monetary reasons. But always come back.

I feel the complaints and feedback given are from those players who have done everything in the game (or say they have). Or those bored saying there is nothing more to do tey refuse to touch certain aspects. We’ll never be able to please everyone, and the only complaint/feedback I agree with is healers need their damage skills back.

The thread has hit 100 pages… it’s divulged into a load of waffle nonsense the mods should just come in and close it because nothing of value is coming from this it’s just back and forth bickering with light name calling which doesn’t achieve anything in the long haul. Like someone said this is why no one takes the forums seriously because we can’t even get a consensus on a YouTuber video without it being 100 pages that has deviated well off the beaten topic lol.

Im tired of that excuse honestly. So many times have they stated "its impossible" but years later they somehow managed to make it work.

When a game developer says something is "impossible" they rarely mean it literally cannot be done by any means known to man. Typically what they're actually saying is they are unable to dedicate the time and resources to it for whatever reason. Over time many things can change such as the team's size and composition, budget, available technology, board directives, etc, and thus something that was once "impossible" becomes possible.

Clearly you can quote that. Right? It's not something you made up, right? How many "in my opinion", "from my / Zepla's point of view" do you need? "The game sucks" is never objective. I expect some form of basic logic.

I'm not a fan of the idea of threads being closed. There's been plenty of well written and sourced posts throughout the thread so if the moderators were to step in then they'd be better served removing the offending posts and allowing the discussion to continue. Otherwise the door is opened to individuals deliberately derailing threads and getting them closed out of spite.

I'm also not sure why the official forum is being portrayed as particularly terrible when there's even more aggression to be found on other platforms. Reddit and Twitter are particularly notorious for that - at least here there's some restraint shown even by the more hot headed individuals because they have their account hanging in the balance if they were to ever step too far.

Whereas on Twitter and Reddit you can respond to a post about your favourite or least favourite character and immediately receive a barrage of explicit gory images and death threats from throwaway accounts. Something which, thankfully, hasn't happened here yet.

Never stated ppl can’t have differing opinions. Just need to give them in a constructive way. With no personal attacks (which seems impossible for certain ppl here).

But also to not attack those who do enjoy the game how it is. Which happens a lot as well.

Instead of attacking each other, we need to use the avenues given to give feedback. I don’t think there are CM here that collects feedback, let alone engages with the community … would think that was their job!

FF14 is not perfect. But if we are giving the same feedback ad naseum and it isn’t being looked at or implemented, the next step is to look at why that is so. Too difficult? Too expansive? Doesn’t sit with the game’s vision?

My "novel" there was "I watched the video and wrote bullet points to list out her critiques so we could actually discuss them".

Considering everyone is complaining about derailing the thread - what you're doing right now - and "Why is no one responding to her actual points and just insulting her?!", it made sense to LIST HER ACTUAL POINTS AND DISCUSS THEM.

You can't demand people discuss Zepla's points instead of insulting her and derailing the thread...THEN ATTACKING THE ONE PERSON DISCUSSING HER POINTS AS TALKING TOO MUCH ABOUT THEM.





All this does is prove who does and DOESN'T want to have a conversation about Zepla's points. I clearly DO. So I'm not the one being the derailer or toxic poster.

I don't know about you but when you have a discussion/arguments with people, you go one point at a time. Spouting everything at once will have the result we see now.
Also with how popular this thread is, your post will be lost in the void by the evening.

For the record, I sure didn't read it.
