The disappointing aspect with Y'shtola is that they touched on elements of her personality that could've been expanded upon but weren't, and would've made her more interesting.

In fact it was primarily in Shadowbringers - I enjoyed the (sadly few) occasions where she took a more confrontational approach to addressing Thancred's attitude toward Ryne and Urianger's unwillingness to address the issue with the WoL's ability to contain the light from deceased Lightwardens.

Sorry, but I can't relate to you or your complaints. You are far too trollish to be relatable, and not like real people at all.

I can get on board with that if the restraining order includes Alisaie. Cannot stand her, want nothing to do with her.

I liked her in SB. Her cinematic and wardrobe change helped a lot with that though. I just dislike they pretty much removed her from the group. But I guess since some people hate the scions that wouldn’t bother them to lose one.

I didn't really like her in SB, especially because I thought the "why won't you become a leader of the resistance because your father was one" made no sense, and the role she was forced into felt off to me. That said, I would rather take her than some of the other scions because I'm kinda tired of most of the cast (except the wol and Estinien) being sharlayan scholars. It worked in ShB because it's another shard, and made sense for EW vanilla because it made sense for them to be in the final act of the story. But I wish they could go back with a cast that's not nearly entirely from the same mold, as ARR did with Cid, Biggs and Wedge, HW with Ysayle and Estinien, and SB with Lyse, Hien, Yugiri and Gotetsu.

I never thought I would say that, but right now, I want her back.

I feel that I myself have a personality which combines elements from both Urianger and G'raha Tia, so I can relate to both of them pretty well.

Y'shtola... She's a bit harder for me to relate to. It's like... if I knew her in RL, I would really want to get to know her better but would have no idea as to how to go about doing so.

Alphinaud has a heart of gold, but IMO still has some growing up to do.

For my personal tastes, Lyse, Hien, Yugiri, and Gotesu were all great. Love the SB cast even if the overall story itself wasn't my favorite. I'd happily drop the scions (outside Y'shtola, as clearly none of us could figure out what's going on in the world without her *snicker*) for that group.

uh ... if anything G'raha is probably the most relatable one. I mean ... you don't know any sport fan? Or celebrity fan? (like Swift, Lady Gaga, Micheal Jackson fans). Like ... yo, G'raha fanboyism it a lot more temper in comparisons. Ok, you may not know any people in those sphere, but there sure are a lot of them.

Also, you use the derogatory term "obsessive fanboy" because you already have a negative bias toward him. The word I would use is "devotion", and it's not weird at all:

    - As a young man he already caught a glimpse of your greatness, and it inspired him. So at this point it's pretty common, like someone want to grow up folloing their childhood heroe or idol.
    - When he woke up, he learnt that you were far more then what he can ever imagine. Your deed and legend wasn't just inspire one or two individual, it's inspirational enough to serve as a thread to tie together the last piece of hope in a world that already fallen apart. There is almost an uncany parallel between how the people revered the WoL in that time line to the way the Allagan revered Xander, which is all intend and purpose their god emperor.
    - Then he spent the next 100 years, way more than the life time most people have to meet you.
    - Then what happened when he finally met the WoL. You didn't just meet, but exceed the already impossible high expectation that he could have about you.

G'raha can appear creepy if you decide to look at him as a normal person. But given what he had went through, meeting the WoL is probably an almost religious experience for him. Like a disciple walking along side his god, hence the devotion comment.

So ? It's normal for babies to cry too, but they are still annoying and unrelatable, it's that simple. Just because it is logical for him to behave that way, doesn't mean I have to like him.
