Weirdly enough I just saw an asmongold clip that was posted a few hours ago that's applicable here....people who don't play the game a lot are out of touch and people who play it all the time are out of touch...and people whos make it their job to play the game you will never understand the average player...i find that to be pretty on point in this instance.

Yeah thats the one lol, I have only watched the odd clip from asmon so was curious on the video and yeah I think this can apply to the players and the streamers/content creators as well

I'm tired of participating in a derail, but the short version is what I said before: When people tell you your interpretation of what they said is wrong, listen to them.

As to the three points, btw; they never said (2) and (3) is irrelevant since everyone gets a say in the game AND not every veteran agrees with you - I've been playing since 2014 and am a vet by any definition of the term in use here. Granted, I don't totally disagree (as I voiced and quoted myself saying a number of times now), people just like to ignore that part.

Except her whining is actually most our whining and complaints about the game, so what does that exactly say abouy us and the current state of the game?

"Most of you" is not "Most of us". People - on both sides, mind - overstate who they're speaking for.

Also I never expressed that the EW patches were perfect. I have defended a lot of the content but I always said that they couldve done its implementation better.

Yeah, the problem is, this IS very true...which makes it hard to really have any kind of constructive conversation. When everyone's looking for ways to discount other people's viewpoints, it leads to no compromises or resolutions. And the real silly thing about it is, this game is big enough for everyone. It can have all kinds of content to appeal to all kinds of players simultaneously without really stepping on anyone's toes. It's only people insisting all-or-nothing has to be for them and discounting anyone disagreeing them with <insert varied insults> that it becomes problematic. It doesn't help people seem more prone to insult than not.

Like I think EW has been lacking and have said plenty in this thread (and others) what I think it's been lacking on. But because I don't like people just saying "FFXIV is garbage" or attacking players, somehow, I'm a "white knight" "shill" who "worship's Yoshi P". Like...do middle grounds/shades of gray not exist in people's world?
