I’m a bit confused by some of the ability ‘upgrades’. Like Eye for an Eye upgrading to Protraction. Since they’re two different abilities, having all those effects - damage reduction when struck from Eye for an Eye, max HP increased by 10%, Restores difference as HP upon execution, and increases healing received by 10% - merged into a single ability might be a bit too much.

Similarly with Rouse and Summon Seraph, one buffs the fairy’s healing, but the other calls a new fairy. So either the fairy healing buff would be lost during the ‘upgrade’ or Summon Seraph would simultaneously increase their healing power, which could make Consolation / Seraphic Veil stronger than it’s meant to be.

I feel like the Art of War into Ruin 4 is a little strange too. Like what happens if you still need to AoE after the 5 casts? Assuming similar durations, I don’t think DoTs would need refreshed by that point so you’d still have to spam Broil while waiting for Art of War’s cool-down or another 15-ish seconds for DoT refresh. If Art of War’s cool-down only lasts 15 seconds / 5 casts, isn’t it a little arbitrary to have Art of War as the initiator?

I like the idea of Sacred Soil being changed to increase healing amounts, since it fits with the theme they’ve tried to go for with Scholar being the ‘buffs healing for bigger shields’ shield healer.

I also like the idea of Deployment affecting DoTs as well as shields, but it also runs into a bit of an issue there too regarding DoTs. Since the majority of fights only involve one enemy generally, outside specific add phases you’d never get to use Deployment for DoTs. Likewise, if there did turn out to be 2-3+ enemies, Deployment would just get both its charges blown on DoT spreading. I feel like an easy fix for Adloquium is giving an incentive to spread it beyond just shielding, like the PvP damage buff (though 8% would probably be way too strong for PvE lol). For the DoTs, maybe it could have the additional effect of increasing or resetting their duration, lower duration but more damage, etc so there’s incentive to use it outside of dungeon pulls and add phases.
