When you can beat everything naked, and everything is pretty easy on this game, everyone is going to be using it....

    nothing hard about this game.
Even traveling is easy, you can take a nap while chocoing and really not worry about any "danger" even if there is danger or high level mobs, you can check if they aggro.

People don't like things to be easy. Easy=/= fun

Now, if anything was hard in this game, I can see that being the case, having maybe one other person, but really, that one person can screw your group up with loots and all that.

That's about it. Chill people, chill.
this. came back to ff:xi after a 6 year break. was muy no beuno trying to get caught up on missions, aht urghan (which I still haven't done), WotG, etc etc. Luckily I have a great LS and some good RL friends that helped out. but I couldn't rely on them to fit with my schedule every time, or sometimes I just didn't feel like bothering them with "MY" wants. so...yeah, I would love to be able to find people at any time that need the same thing I do.

Here is how I see it:

People in group A have a linkshell and know people via previous content/pugs.
People in group B haven't really branched out or just started doing organized content (assuming there will be more mid-level content come 2.0, plus whatever capped content there is).

Group A will form parties with friends/LS members first, possibly shout/search for any needed spots before using content finder. Group A will also use the content finder off the bat if no friends/LS members are available.

Group B will primarily use content finder, which they can do while seeking party or looking for shouts.

The content finder will be convenient when you want to immediately get things done (which is difficult in this game compared to other MMOs). I really don't see what the big outcry against it is.

Says you. To me, I find things being too hard to complete is not fun, and while there is a satisfaction to completing it, I never ever want to do it again, and it tends to remembered rather negatively.

While too easy can be a problem, I find things more enjoyable when I can complete them without being too difficult.

So you like no challenge in a game?
Did you not play old school games, or even the new school hard games like Demon souls?

People have opinions and tastes. Not everybody has played or enjoys 'old school' games. While I loved the sense of accomplishment after completing my first run through of Demons/Dark Souls, it isn't for everybody. Once you realize this, everything will be okay.

    @OP

I'm not one to comment on speculations, but god damn you're over thinking this way to much.

The reps said you can form party with your own server community, or by cross server for instance/dungeons. We have options. I'm going to file this as not an issue.

This will effect you- When you spend time with people You turn into them- they turn into you-
Most of the time a person pick's up the bad habits- even though you can pick up the good habit as well-
the more people crossword the less players you see in your own server. -------- giving the access to find a dungeon will force players too all use it- hence everyone will start using that instead since it's more convenient- People never know what they got until they lose it- the same reason why every MMO make's EXP grind EASY and Fast- that itself created a big impact on future MMO- Now a day mmo's aren't even mmo anymore- all you do is log in ding 50 fight a boss log out-
Back then mmo meant- Adventure travel explore battle experience!! now MMO means
Log in Don't travel just warp Ding 50 Fight a boss fight a dungeon log out-
This to me is more of a Dota game then an mmo- This is also why sometimes i just prefer to play gimp game such as Legion of legen or Dota---... just because i'am kind of overwhelm that mmo's are no longer explore experience travel socialize and enter a new world of fantasy

You see group B will Learn to never Interact with players and go AFK- they will never even talk to players in there own servers-
Hence group A is forced not to communicate with anyone-
People will stop Partying in own server because GROUP B will always join Dungeon to rank up-
Iam pretty sure they will come out with dungeon rank 25 35 45 55 65 75- as long as it's 10 rank gap you'll always get exp-
----- This is why you seek in your own server ----

    By using server merging dungeons-
You are FORCING NEW player's to use that system because GROUP B will not talk to new players since they can use that system- GROUP A will probably never run into that player BECAUSE they have there link shell to help them- Hence the new player WILL turn INTO group B--- None social and meet players from other servers.
