Feel like the vast majority of veteran players would be aligned on that opinion as well. Games fine if you are still catching up, but when you are caught up........

My playtime in game generally tapers off rapidly once I finish the new content of a patch cycle. TBH I do want to farm mogtomes for some stuff on the mogtome event. However too much stuff just came out recently lol. Still enjoying Armored Core 6, Baldur's Gate 3, Remnant 2, still need to finish the last of those unlocks on the Diablo 4 season pass since I hit the button to activate the premium tier that came with ultimate edition. I did finish my Exoprimal season pass thing tho. Plan on breaking Starfield soon lol.

Also more stuff looming on the horizon like the Pokemon Scarlet/Violet DLC, Super Mario RPG remaster because it was one of my favorite games from the 16bit era, new Dragon Quest Monsters game, New Fantasy Life game that atleast is supposed to release this year but has kinda gone mostly silent. People also theorycrafting that the upcoming Tokyo Games Show will start the hype train for the next Gen Monster Hunter title with an expected release in March due to bits of the franchise's history coupled with Capcom saying they have 1 game that will sell millions planned to release before the end of the fiscal year.

2023 has had some noteable letdowns and flops but overall I'd say it's been a good year for gaming.
