Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

She addresses that in the first minute or so. Her concerns remain even after taking a break...

Then her break was either not long enough or she has moved on from FF14 but hasn't accepted that yet. People change and she's clearly trying to expand out of FF14 for her persona and content.

With how much time she has put into FF14, she has more than made up for the costs a thousandfold. I don't see how any game can be expected to keep someone, who has done everything and put thousands of hours into, engaged forever.

FF14 has no reason to make drastic changes when what they've done has worked out so well for them for the vast majority whom are far more casual than Zep is.

Never said that. Game isn't perfect, but it clearly did something right if she poured thousands of hours into it.

Perhaps one day people like you will start to understand that "just take a break looool" does not make things any better, the complaints are still there, the game wont change, you will come back and have the exact same issues yet again, even if you took a break for a year, you'll have maybe 2 weeks of content at best, yay I guess ? Is that really that impressive ?

Or... shocking possibility! The game has actual issues that are causing her (and others) to be dissatisfied with it.

She's apparently making another video on the 'casual' content being lacking too later, so look forward to that.

This dismissive passive aggressive take on any criticism of the game is literally the epitome of “GCBTW” and why people backhandedly scoff at the community in this game.

I don’t understand why some people are so aggressively complacent that SE and CBU3 are so infallible that we must consume everything they create as gods gift to MMOs and be happy that is what we get.

Most people complaining agree with you that the game is at least some level of fun at its core. That doesn’t make the game immune from criticism especially when people will take the time to put criticism into a more coherent thought than “GAME SUCK”. Well thought out and more in depth criticisms like Zeplas (can be from anyone, not just big content creators) should be welcomed into the community. The player base should never become complacent with the state of the game.

It’s ironic that this critical feedback got us from 1.0 to 2.0 and now some people seem like we are never allowed to complain about the state of the game ever again. It’s also wildly annoying too.

As a super casual who took a decent sized break from the game as well, I still have a lot of the same complaints. Thankfully there is the moogle tomestone event to keep me occupied outside of the daily roulettes and I missed my friends so I can hang out with them again. I imagine if I hadn't been a casual player for years I probably would say I have a lot of things to do, but because I have been playing for years I have done a lot of the older content that I wanted to do and am just floating around in EW without much of a goal or anything.

And I agree to an extent, there is thousands of hours of things to do, the issue is that EW doesn't have that like some of the previous expansions did. I think that is the point of the argument is that there isn't the same repeatability or reason to log in frequently like we had in previous expansions.
