Somethings are a matter of perspective/opinion, while others are objective reality. Blizzard doens't have any ethics or moral nowadays. It's just business. At least CBU3 pretend very well they care about their playerbase.

For those who have no idea why:
WoW has multiple monetization system. You need to buy the game, monthly subscription or wow token, and now you have trading post with a currency that you can buy using IRL money....imagine if we had Khloe's Wondrous Tails by real money: If you pay enough, you could acquire your three lines. That is exactly what they are doing with a minor twist: you need 500 coins (example) to acquire a specific item, your max by month is 400, by coincidence, we sell 100 in the store by $10. They started slowly. On the first month, players were able to acquire all items by playing. By the third and fourth month, you had to choose what you want and keep a reserve for the next month (without knowing if will be worth it, if you spend it now, you can buy more later anyway).

Not to mention run selling in a game where end game gear matters, worst, a game director (Mike Ybarra) was selling runs during his own live.

Not to mention lore, continuous retcons and gearing complexity, and i am only talking about WoW. The situation is even worse in Diablo 4 and Overwatch.

FFXIV is far from perfect...we could have a better -optional- farming loop, more stuff to do with our iLVL and places to use our mounts. However, at least they keep what we like and try to innovate here and there without having to copy 100% what other games are doing.

Btw, some professional complainers here should try something else for a while. I would love to see.
