Wish I left then...I stuck around hoping for improvement...05-22 I entered the realm of the dead and never left
Playing LOTRO, I still hop back on on occasion to play with the music system.
Edit found something that I made 10 years ago: me playing a composition of "Mother Earth and Father Time" from the 1970s Charlotte's Web movie I made using the music system. It's me playing in real time with the keyboard so the tempo is slow and fumbly with me trying to remember they keybinds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5MV64ecBRw

Ten years ago, I still had a smidgen of hope for the future. I miss those days.
I also miss my knees not crackling and my back not creaking. There may be some relation.

I was also in Pandaria, probably working on the daily faction grind. That grind was getting pretty old at that point and you felt like if you missed a day you'd get way behind. I've always liked how there is daily stuff in XIV but I can choose to do it or not do it and the effect is minimal.

I was in Basic. Also in Red Phase. I wasn't having fun.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.

Camping, fishing and picking berries in the middle of the Tundra in polar bear territory (for real).

I know some ppl that have been attacked. Some survived, a few didn't. I had one 30 ft behind me once and people started screaming Nanuk! Nanuk! (edit: bear in Inuktitut) and shot it in the air to scare it. Most of the time they are scared by noise. Never go where the ice breaks as they wait for fish there too.

Was a no life MMO player. Playing 1.0 and WoW at the same time. Kicked the WoW bucket with Trash of Azeroth. Then XIV became my MMO of choice and haven't really touched much of any other MMO since despite having played or tried most of the big title ones.

Oooooo! That sounds both fun and dangerous at the same time. I hope you had a great time.
For certain. Whenever I went camping I stayed away from areas with bears, let alone, polar bears. I have a healthy respect and fear of them.
YIKES! I've heard the same thing about staying away from ice breaks even in Ohio because many predators, like wolves and black bears, wait for fish and waterfowl nearby. Plus, it's just good sense not to be walking around on ice that has cracks or breaks in it to begin with.I know some ppl that have been attacked. Some survived, a few didn't. I'm sorry, The Mighty Mollusk. I miss those days too. It really sucks when you become intimately aware of your fragility and mortality.

Ten years ago, I has just been declared 100% disabled in court and eligible for disability. Bored with TV, and deeply unsatisfied with WoW, I decided to take up FFXIV after seeing the "Answers" trailer. I may be wrong but I think I started out as a plainsfolk lalafell pugilist named Nonomy Nomy who fought not for fame or glory, nor a deep desire to help others, but to challenge herself. She was a fun character and I still have her around.![]()
