Skipping cut scenes while farming tomestones

I know this has probably been said hundreds of times, but we really need to be able to skip cutscenes for Castrum Meridianum, The Praetorium, and The Porta Decumana, especially if we need to spam them for tomestones. Some of the cut scenes are especially long, and when you have to watch them dozens of times each day, it doesn't just get old, but it's a horrible waste of our time.

I understand why these pivotal cut scenes were made unskippable. I remember the days when people used to rush ahead, locking out new players who were watching the cut scenes for the first time. But all you have to do is check to see if all the party members have seen them before. If so, then offer the option to skip. But if someone is new and hasn't seen them before, then keep them as unskippable for everyone. Alternatively, pop up a quick vote at the start, asking the party members if they wish to auto-skip the cut scenes.

I understand the request, but odds are that you're getting paid that many Mogtomes precisely because of the cutscenes. In other words, that fat stack of Mogtomes is your compensation for enduring the cutscenes. Without them, I bet the Mogtomes for these duties would be reduced.

If you're burning out on cutscenes, I can only recommend that you do a different duty. IMO it's not worth it unless you've got some good YouTube videos lined up.

(I mean, if they do change it that would be neat, I just wouldn't expect them to)

I'd like to do the alliance stuff because I need it for story progression, but no one's signing up for that. :-(

Except you don't need to spam these specific three duties for mogtomes.

What's stopping you from picking the other options available to you?

The 2 minute cutscene in castrum meridium is actually REQUIRED to be able to farm it as fast as you do with an all blu party.

I just came back to the game after nearly 10 years. What other options are there? I've tried queuing for alliance stuff, but it takes forever to fill up... if it ever does. What else is there?

Right now, I'm particularly interested in the event tomestones.

Queue for the daily alliance raid roulette, work on getting through MSQ so you can at least unlock the post-Heavensward alliance raids if not further. Don't bog your game down in a hundred runs of repeat content right now when you can do it at a leisurely pace over a month.

Also, check the marketboard for prices on tradable items, and you may be able to save yourself a whole lot of grinding by simply purchasing them.

Right now, I'm particularly interested in the event tomestones.

Rival Wings/Frontlines are available at your level, those gives 6-10 mogtomes per match. I'm surprised you're getting long queues for alliance raids, especially with how prevalent the Crystal Towers raids are in the Alliance Roulette.

Log out. At the character select screen, right click on your character. Select "Data Center Travel." Pick from Aether, Crystal, or Primal, any server you want. If all you're wanting to do right now is farm moogle tomes, that'll be your fastest option since the Dynamis DC is fairly new and not as populated as the others.

The problem with this option is that when it becomes obvious that there will be no cutscene skipping due to a new player being present, you have a very likely chance that at least one or several of the party members will just drop the run instead of bothering to see it through, even with lockout and abandonment penalties.

And honestly? Compared to the older versions of these dungeons, even with cutscenes now they take a fraction of the time to complete to what they used to, and this round is rewarding even more tomestones. So really, if your time is that valuable, then you should be pursuing the alternatives.
