Order of the Blue Garter is Recruiting: 1 WHM and 1 DPS

What are the haps, my friends?

Order of the Blue Garter, comprised of a few OG BG members from FFXI and WoW plus many beautiful people from FFXIV's Rabanastre server, has now opened limited recruiting.

Since launch, we've been committed to tackling new content with as much moxie as possible. Our core consists of hardcore, talented players who believe in Yoshida, and we're sticking with our guy through 2.0 and beyond. However, time passes, and sometimes, friends come and go, so we're now looking for 1 main WHM player and 1 extremely well-rounded DPS player to round out our progression groups with at least 20 hours' availability per week.

For a WHM, we're looking for someone who:
- Has extensive healing experience in FFXIV; preferably in other MMORPGs as well
- Wants to heal so hard to the point where we can compare him/her to Daigo "The Beast" Umehara
- Sees red HP bars only in his/her nightmares
- Knows how to cast Regen

For a DPS player, we're looking for someone who:
- Wants to min/max every single DPS job, including BLM, MNK, WAR, DRG, BRD, WHM, and PLD
- Has a competitive mindset without the parser-based dickwaving associated with BIG NUMBERS 10000000000000000 syndrome
- Without using savestates, can beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! without losing AND/OR Contra with 3 lives AND/OR Ninja Gaiden I/II/III (all of the above are for the Nintendo Entertainment System).

Every once in a while I play through Contra on 3 lives to keep my Eruption-dodging skills up to par.

I will also accept DoDonPachi or any other bullet-hell shooter.

As for Ghosts 'n Goblins, I was never a huge fan of the series, so I didn't really play them all that much. But that era was full of facesmashingly difficult games, so really if you were good at any of them, that kind of hand-eye coordination should hypothetically carry over into MMORPGs. Moving away from 100-tonze Swing, for example, is far easier than beating Mega Man 2's Bubble Man stage with one try/life.

That stage just had those bullshit tiny frogs to worry about, was cake after that~ Equal parts memorization and hand-eye coordination. Least those games didn't have the server lag we have to deal with in XIV...
