I plan to ignore the nay-sayers and play the game until it stops being of interest to me specifically. I would guess that's what any player thinks.

I haven't reached that point, nor do I consider it likely I will do so over the next few expansions. Unless they force me through another tedious fight with Zenos in a future expansion. I just ran an alt through that fight, and it was much more fun on a Bard than on a Dragoon.

Cause it is quite the contrary when you look at the steam charts. The game is continuing to grow since it launched and has now more players than to launch of the previous expansion. Which is a trend you can observe when you look at the whole history of the games player activity. I wonder why he didn't showed that and just picked the launch of EW and hype around streamers as the high point and the lowest activity day to showcase how the game is doing.

The game is doing well and it will continue to do well, there are things that could be better ofc but some subjective feelings of some forum dwellers have little to no impact on that fact.

I mean some of that drop off is literally people finding endwalker their endpoint, on top of the usually leave the game till X.5 to play through etc, then the wow exodus lot leaving too are the bulk of that initial drop. The remainder so the 56k to 44k I would chalk up to game releases, not happy with content longevity or relic progression etc etc. I do wonder how the xbox playerbase would impact the game...does lucky bancho include free trial in the numbers or do they need to hit a milestone before recorded?

Free trial is not in lucky bancho, the survey specifically uses a character at level 61 to exclude free trial

I am not goalpost shifting koros....offering logical conclusions from the dates and data given it makes sense. It wouldn't matter how much I gave you a concrete factual answer you yourself would nitpick and goalpost shift yourself so that's some irony there lol. Also your using once again steam charts which doesn't reflect the whole picture anyway...we will have to see lucky banchos figures after 6.5 to see what is really happening but even then it wont include the new free trial players from xbox or even returning free trial players going through stormblood who haven't transitioned over. I mean I would like the game to plummet so we don't have to endure you but alas its doing well enough to fund your questionable habits.
