Ok so we're getting an Ultimate this patch right? Is Criterion Savage still gonna be run for its great rewards? (we dont know if the devs listened to the reward feedback with this upcoming Variant/Criterion dungeon)

You said this yourself, Criterion Savages are pointless to run because there's nothing substantial to gain from them. It was a failure of a content for the high-end raiders. Are you seriously gonna say that people are gonna be worrying about getting BiS for THAT!? I mean I'm glad to be proven wrong come 6.5 if they gave it something more meaningful to do em, but until then that content is D-E-A-D. Pointless to do and may as well pretend that it doesnt exist. Its was most of the savager raiders did for Sildih and Rokkon.
