Yo what? Armored Core? Man I love mech games. I want a new Mechwarrior. I want a new Front Mission.Take your time and 100% that along with all the DLC content. Cause Mirage apparently is going to be a throwback to the first 2 games in the series which probably means you'll 100% that one in about 35 hours. ;3
ATM I've been finishing out that Diablo 4 season 1 battlepass thing because I'd bought the ultimate edition so it's running on the premium tier. Also been playing Remnant 2 and enjoying it. But soon... Armored Core 6 lol.

Pirahna Games has Mechwarrior 5 on most platforms by now and also still has Mechwarrior Online going if you want to fight other people.
Front Mission as a series could use a reboot back into it's original tactics style strategy game genre IMO after the franchise got smashed in the face by the poorly executed spin-off stealth game and Front Mission Evolved's action oriented transition lacking content and having a poorly executed multiplayer component.
Edit:
Some other robot mech games I'd like to see come back.
Cyberstorm
Earthsiege/Starsiege
Custom Robo
LBX
Robopon

I know of MechWarrior Online but doesn't it have annoying P2W cash shop crap littered all over it? Much like World of Tanks and their cousins?Pirahna Games has Mechwarrior 5 on most platforms by now and also still has Mechwarrior Online going if you want to fight other people.

If you want a mechbay packed with a huge amount of mechs to choose from the fastest way would be to open your wallet. However it's entirely playable without it. They also frequently do event things where playing the game enough will get you limited edition event mech variants that usually have a customized stock loadout and paintjob.
As for the pay to win. I really don't recall anything other than cosmetics and cockpit decorations being locked behind a pay wall and even then it wasn't all of them. Honestly i'd say the difference between wallet and free is basically the difference between instant coffee and hand brewed coffee starting from beans. One gets you what you want immediately, the other takes time but will likely result in a better experience.
