Let's talk about bot housing business

I, myself own more than one FCs in one account and along with my partner we own a good amount of subs even if I'm not considered a "multiowner". But I can see the potential of it. Making far more gil with just 16 subs than any activity in Eorzea demands. Except one.
I'm also owner of several venues, I have been asked to pay 60m gil per week from people to manage them (that is 10-15m per opening). I couldn't afford it but there are people that do. I know how much gil/hour staff is getting paid from the crier to the dj, I know several "sponsors" who throw tenths of millions left and right to show off, I know multiowners involved in all this, personally. And I know very well that there are only 3 ways to fund a project like this. Either to have a zillion subs, a sponsor who owns a zillion subs or buys Gil, or buy Gil yourself. So, yes. Everything is interconnected. Unless you care to elaborate where else would someone spend billions of amassed Gil.

400 plus bids on... Spriggan? Which ward and plot, out of curiosity.

I was on Spriggan for months before moving to phantom and then sagi, I have been doing housing for over 2 years at this point, be it under placard or lottery, and under lottery I havent seen a single medium go to over 400 bids, I'd be interested to know what plot it is.

As for your post, submarines give a lot of gil, you said it yourself, personally I dont do venues so I cant talk about that topic, I know people that have venues though but I dont ask them what they do to get their gil, nor is it my problem to be fair, so I think it'd be unfair of me to give a response in that regard.

Which plot though ? LB11/41 ? If yes, and if that's also the only medium (if not the only plot available) then it could potentially make sense, but I really highly doubt it went that far, I had a spriggan friend who a few months ago got an LB41, there were 89 bids or so, so 400 seem very extreme, I'll give benefit of the doubt, but I really doubt it

Ultimately it's pointless now but if you were standing at a placard for days on end at a time you were doing it wrong. There was a window that could be estimated based on when the plot went up considered "prime" hours. At most you'd need to spend 3-5h there and even that's generous.

Also this, if people spent their entire time camping plots all day and night long, it was on them, there was a thing called "prime time" which was 5 hours maximum, in which the percentage of the house selling was extremely high, it was a misconception that it could come up at "any time", the percentages outside of prime time were abysmal.

You seem to have forgotten the sleepless people savage clicking for days over a goblet small for that random window that would allow them to gain the plot while at the same time others owned whole wards.

And if you haven't seen 400+ bids on a medium, that means you have joined Eorzea quite recently.

Ultimately it's pointless now but if you were standing at a placard for days on end at a time you were doing it wrong. There was a window that could be estimated based on when the plot went up considered "prime" hours. At most you'd need to spend 3-5h there and even that's generous. The window was readily available in all housing related discord servers so it wasn't a secret tbh.

Not trying to defend the placard camping cause I'm glad that stress is gone but yeah lol.

I have not, as I mentioned I have been doing housing for over 2 years, actually 2 years and a half, I'm not saying I dont believe you, I am saying I highly doubt it, if you had told me 100 bids, that'd be a different story.

If we're speaking about Spriggan specifically, just looking at Paissa shows the last medium sold was 16 bids. I could understand that an LB41 would have a lot of bids because of the overall value of that plot but I don't think it would be as high as 400 if normal numbers aren't hitting close to that.

Maybe back then it was a diff story but it seems much less now.

Another question, if you own multiple plots on one account but don't consider yourself a multi-owner, then what do you consider yourself? If you own more than one fc plot and personal plot per account, you're essentially a multi-owner. So therefore, by your argument, you're pretty suspicious too.

Well you had the chance to do that, you didnt want to put in the effort to do it, that's on you.

I also call lies on 400 bids on an LB41 on Spriggan, I myself bid on an LB41 while it was lottery when I was on Spriggan and it had about 70 bids.
