So when are we getting naval battles mixed with ocean fishing?

I still miss the lols from the Selbina/Mhaura ferry in FFXI. Ppl fishing on board. Monsters spawning... Sea Horror spawning and killing everyone. Pirate attacking and killing everyone. Seeing the ferry arrive just to watch all the dead bodies flop out of the doorway on to the dock... lol
People here just like to gang up on anyone. It doesn't necessarily mean you are wrong, or right. It just means you are the chosen target for the day. I wish the mods would do more to stop this behavior, but they don't seem to care, or have enough resources to deal with anything. Take it from someone who is also frequently targeted, you are doing okay. Please don't take the bullying to heart.I am confused. Where do you see me complaining? FF14 still continues to dump on the competition without even trying. They literally took the lead producer and stuck him on another FF game for more than a year and FF14 barely suffered from it.
My only question is with them showing the ship so prominently, the pirate vibe they were going for are we going to see follow-up on that concept or did they just think it was a cool visual.
Also I was right. Dragonflight release date was in NOVEMBER 2022 literally a YEAR AND 6 MONTHS after I posted that there would be the mother of all content droughts in WoW. People here are complaining it is taking 5 months instead of 4 months for new content to drop.
As for sailing, you can travel to certain city states via boat, and there is a boat fishing mechanic. I don't believe that we will be getting any type of sailing that involves actually controlling a boat however. If you want more "boat" or "pirate" themed content in Dawntrail, id advise using your voice to ask for an ocean fishing map set in the new world. Would be pretty cool, and quite fitting tbh.

Who is "we"? Sailing didn't even cross my mind as an option, and I can't say I'm enthused about the prospect now you raise it.
The last RPG I played with sailing as a battle mechanic rather than pure transport was Skies of Arcadia, and I recall it being awful.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag was decent for a game where it was tacked on for like...that and 1 other game. I've not done Sea of Thieves so I can't say anything about that.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
Sea of Thieves is nice for that sailing feel. Though it felt more like a game to be enjoyed during a party with friends than anything else. Then again games like Payday were always more fun with friends too instead of solo or with random strangers.
