    I used to like bloat, still do, cleric stance, protect, stoneskin, managing Eos/Selene and all several dots bane , awww thunder and aero. Anyway it is fine if they reduce but give more. I want wall to wall elites and mobs to come at me to and make the dungeon feel impactful a bit like diablo. I dont mind more skill simplicity but please compensate elsewhere. I have found a balance of story in this game and grind in other games, i just wish it was in this. My style is mine and not everyone else and times have changed.

    Haha a 14 ARPG would be quite good fun and learning a dance for another savage just doesn't scratch that itch, they simplified healing and 2 minute meta and I adapted to it but who not sure how i would feel if things are even more simplified. We won't know till 7.0 comes and knowing me I wont quit till the servers get turned off forever.

    honestly it has less to do with controller and more to do with how many skills you actually need..

    PVP demonstrates this well where jobs have more fluid gameplay and job identitiy in PVP with 1/4 of the buttons they have in PVE.

    buttons for the sake of buttons isnt fun. especially when 90% of them lack any weight or impact.

    Button Bloat is why a lot of players tend to gravitate towards the "easier" jobs as they typically have less buttons to worry about. Like Summoner, Dancer, Warrior, and such.
    The only time i would consider ff14 having button bloat was during the arr and heavansward period. With the amount of skills they removed since stormblood every job has become easy to play.

    to all the people asking for combos to be condensed, keep your hands away from Monk and we won't have a problem because it's literally the only job in the game that actually takes advantage of combos being different buttons.

    9 years and i still cant play it properly
    Honestly monk is the skillgap in XIV, if you can master monk, your a great player.

    That is such a strange take. What's the point of having different jobs then if you ask for them to play all the same? Just play that one job then.

    Yeah. IMO jobs within the same role have gotten too similar in play. It's most noticeable with healers and tanks but you can see it happening to DPS jobs within their gear divisions to a degree already as well. Variety is the spice of life. Which means SE needs to add spice to FFXIV to make it more lively.
