For me? I have to PL myself, otherwise its just near impossible to level, took me 1 week just to get 43 to 50 Thaumaturge because no one was PTing. I would sit in a PT for ages, almost ready to go, but no Healer or people begin dropping out before it started.

Takes way to long very often.
One week to solo 7 levels is stupid fast and thats just one more problem with this game.

So yeh back to topic, Content Finder for Instanced stuff is good, EXPing/Dungeons (which are instanced anyway) is good.

Strongholds are not instanced, they open world, not like it would make much difference anyway if they were instanced or not. But they would still exist, we have seen that in the v2.0 context, so stop crying ya eyes out about open world nonsense.

The content finder is a welcome addition to the FF series, especially when you consider how long it took to do anything in XI. Even starting a group in XIV is still challenging (not nearly as so).

The content finder from WoW does degrade the cohesiveness of the community, but it is such an important mechanic to modern MMOs that it cannot be left out.

There are ways to balance the content finder. New dungeons (as deemed "new" via one to two patches) could be present in a "server only" content finder for the duration they are deemed "new". After a patch or two, these dungeons then go to the normal "all server" status.

Furthermore, since WoW is a relevant example for this explanation I will include it here. I very rarely use the content finder on WoW, why? Because I have guildmates who want to do dungeons when I want to. I'd much rather opt to do guild runs any day over running a content finder pug. With that being said, I appreciate the fact that content finder is there to provide ACCESSIBILITY to those who don't have the luxury of being in an end game guild such as the one I am in. I see the immense value in the content finder and I am willing to accept the lack of cohesiveness of the server community for accessibility of content.

Finally, the above example shows that you really don't have to use content finder if you don't want to. It is simply another means of increasing the accessibility of content for everyone -- and that is generally always a good thing.

But how would that work for like a grind party? You go to the other person's server or vice versa temporarily? lol

I mean, SWTOR has this thing where there are separate instances of the same area on the same server, and if you party with someone in the other instance you transfer to theirs....but i haven't heard anything about that being implemented for 2.0. And still, cross world o.0?

    I can't say i'm against it, but....inb4 failed implementation.

People keep saying that dungeon finder ruined WoW, well I can tell you the community wasn't that great to begin with so its not like it made a massive change.

I would suggest the addition of reputation system like these forums have the like ups etc, so you can get some idea who you are playing.

Another great addition to the game. Not having to wait a week to do stuff can only be a good thing and if you need to restrict our contact with other servers to save the 'community' within our actual server then the 'community' can't be that great can it? Tl;DR cutting off contact from the outside world is what creepy other halves do x.x

No one else is in a panic about this Rokien and no we will not think of the children D:
