All I'm going to do is contest the assertion that Venat sundered the world because she had no faith in the Ancients' capability to overcome hardships; she did it because they had no faith in themselves. That's one facet of it, at least. There were lots of reasons, but I'm pretty sure those have been explained ad nauseam by this point...
We uplifted them and didn't write them off as a lost cause, even when they pushed back against us. The truly heroic mindset is to never give up.
