What if the new caster job is Onmyoji

I could see it happening... if we were going into Hingashi or further into Othard.
We're going to a mesoamerican-themed "new world" continent.
Thematically, Onmyoji wouldn't fit here, considering real world parallelisms, something like Druid/Shaman would make more sense.
Then again, this is pure speculation, and since it's a fantasy setting they can justify any job being from anywhere.

Are there jobs that could currently fit that bill? A Shamanistic job could be cool but that's essentially BLUs background and Druidism was conjurer before it became WHM though I'm not sure how much of that remains.
Not that it would really hinder the devs either way since the they could now just make OC Jobs.

I feel like with Final Fantasy XIV, the devs don't care about this so much. They usually have LONG gaps between the job types i.e. ranged magical dps, so with that development in mind, it doesn't matter.

Remember we got the non Ishgardian Astrologian years before going to Old Sharlayan proper, and Monk way before going to Ala Mhigo. This can happen again.

I don't think they necessarily have that standard all the time.

We got Ninja way before stepping foot in the Far East. We got Dancer in an expansion before going to their homeland. Gunbreaker's origins were in Shadowbringers but a side story not part of the MSQ at all.

Of course, it's still likely that the jobs are featured in tandem with the expansion's locale, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of at least one of them not being from that place.
