If serious, then I'm withholding judgment at any rate. But a more grounded story is appreciated.
It shouldn't need to be a counter. People should be free to express themselves in a manner they so wish without it being a counter or a response to something else.
It's this kind of statement that is going the encourage some people to lobby around this argument in a veiled attempt to just derail it.

What I meant (though didn't really make it as clear as I should've) is that it'd be refreshing to have a thread created specifically to discuss a positive opinion around the teaser trailer, since we already have at least two or three threads specifically discussing negative opinion of it.

It was clear that that was the definition of "counter" you meant, no worries. That's not what I meant.

Not that I see what the big sin of "making a thread to talk about something positive b/c you got tired of seeing a bunch of negative stuff" is, exactly. The inciting event that gave you the push to make the thread doesn't negate the validity of the opinion expressed in the thread. This subtext that some seem to think of "the negativity is genuine, while the positivity is just brainwashing/shilling/disingenuous" is really idiotic.
To be on topic:
I am also looking forward to this expansion, given the trailer. I like the tone. But, then, I also expect and look forward most to what I think will be a B plot regarding the void or world travel or something else interesting that will tie into whatever the new meta-story arc is gonna be. I really don't think that this expac's story will be completely self-contained and somehow just not matter once its over, like an actual beach episode. That'd be very weird. Even Stormblood, despite basically having nothing to do with Ascians in its main story, had its follow ups. If DT doesn't, then it will feel oddly isolated from the rest of the world, imo.
