FanFest 2023 - waste of money

Something about FanFest needs to be addressed. The organization for this event is SO BAD. Get in line before 6:30 am then wait near the front of the line until 9 am when doors open. And then they let us in the main room with NOT a single staff member knowing what is going on. Merch lines formed with staff saying they were the line. Then an official line formed without anyone telling the lines that were already formed. Merch line closed at 9:30... for an event that goes all day. TLDR: wait in line for 4 hours for merch to be done half hour into the event.
Final Fantasy XIV owes us apology for how horribly this has been staffed an ran.

Sounds like your typical large event to me.
There is a reason I never gone to one and watch it live. Plus the fact I would have to travel to UK.

Both pax east and west and equally terrible. They don’t train the staff well enoguh and always don’t hire enough.

I thought of going, but I was too late. Now, after seeing videos of the incredibly long lines, I'm glad I missed it. Aside from the vendor goodies, I can see it all in the streams.

From E3 to ComicCon corpos have been scaling back on these kind of events.

The security and most of the staffs are probably outsourced or provided by the venue who dont even know what is Final Funtastic anime. Its always like that when it comes into events unless if the organizer manage everything.
