It's probably super easy to solo stuff now, using Peat Pelt and... the Broom one whatever it's called. Each enemy hit by the 1-2 gives a stack of 50p of Regen, up to 6. So you could essentially, in a trash pull, have a constant 300p regen ticking on you, twice as strong as a Medica 2's ticks. Plus it'd be doubled by Basic Instinct

@OP, yes I've done BLU, got all spells, completed the 'secret' achievement for the carnivale and got the umbrella. Since the only reward for doing any 'all blu, no echo, etc' fights is again a title, and Big Fish is clearly superior, that particular content is not worth the time/effort to me, so once again, BLU lifespan for me was roughly 12 hours. See you all in 2 years when the next update comes out for it

I mean, I’m probably an above average BLU, but I’m nothing special, I just picked the job up since the patch today, farmed it to level 80, got all the open world spells and the breath of magic totem, then I went straight into soloing dungeons synced for the 100% spell learn rate. With just the spells I had at 70 + breath of magic (great dps but doesn’t fundamentally change anything about my level 70 kit) I’ve already soloed up to the first boss of Malikah’s well and the entirety of heroes gauntlet. So the 70 kit is still perfectly capable of taking on 80 dungeons and I imagine once I unlock some of the more powerful level 80 spells it’s only going to get easier from there.

My issue with BLU is that it's locked out of trusts/duty support. You know, the Solo job being unable to use the systems designed for solo play? Don't get it at all. Trusts/duty support is a glorified premade party.

That is also my main issue with BLU. When it was first introduced, I was at fan fest, I was excited about it until the very next day at the live letter when they announce that you couldn't use BLU in squadrons or PotD. Even now, I feel SE seriously missed the mark by not allowing BLU into deep dungeons, Ereka, or go into dungeons with squadrons/trusts/duty supports.

you can for sure solo most 80 dungeons with ease
Ultra vibration makes adds a breeze
missle obliterates most first and second bosses
I'd say berserker would be tough out of the final dungeon bosses but rest should be ez

I tested this, and nope. Basic Instinct does not affect Deep Clean's regen. I guess the regen is coded weird? That is why they changed Aetheric Mimicry: Healer to increase the potency of all healing effects this patch, which does affect Deep Clean, and for some reason, Basic Instinct did not get the same change. Like you said, though, soloing dungeons is pretty easy. Along with Mortal Flame and Breath of Magic, Goblin Punch makes bosses faster since Basic Instinct removes the Mighty Guard damage penalty, so you have a new instant 640-potency spell.

Blue should be able to do ultimates and deep dungeon, with unique titles and it's own weapons for doing so

Got the new achievement from carnivale and have only a handful of spells to get still. I was looking forward to being able to solo the ShB treasure maps and the new tools BLU has gotten are going to make that considerably easier then I was expecting.

Never really had much interest in the savage achievements save for the ARR/HW ones that award the morbol.

Getting constantly OHKO'd and having to take it from the top is neither fun nor fair.

Unfortunately, that's basically XIV's design philosophy in general when it comes to "hard" content.

BLU at least just boils down to "bring this skill to not die" with little in the way of an execution barrier outside of the boss fights like Gogo and Goldor.

definitely. i did level 29 ...THE DIRTY ROTTEN whatever the name is...like 30 times before I beat it... that was neither fun nor fair...but definitely FUSTRATING.
