Isn't that hairstyle you've mentioned that wasn't added actually the Both Ways hairstyle that you get from Zadnor? - It looks like it and given how hard the Eviさん hairstyle was butchered, I think it's possible

All of these hairstyles look like the trash short styles that the community has collectively been hating on for a while now. Looks like our woe was self-inflicted.

I dunno. it seems to me like every single time we get new hair especially ones from that list the reception on social media and from people in game has been "ugh short again". Not saying I personally feel like this but it's something I've seen. So who exactly votes for these short hairstyles?

Vocal minorities are a thing, especially with the majority of players in the game being silent. (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ))
Last contests, you had to be on the forums to vote and supposedly the first like you gave on the that thread was your vote. Once the winners were implemented, I remember a few people saying they voted based on the artwork/art style and not because they thought the hairstyle was particularly good.
For this contest, the devs will be picking the winners. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
