To the OP's point, I witnessed one "Brothel" (their words, not mine) in particular possessing around 4 - 5 ads in PF alone last night (Primal DC). The spammy nature of some venues I do believe is out of control. The various cafe's and whatnot tend to keep things in line more than some of the less savory venues by my observations.

It happens because you turned off your profanity filter.

The game comes with it default turned ON, at some point you made the conscious decision to turn it OFF and in doing so agreed to see profanity.

I don't mean a dirty word here or there, I mean why is it there are giant ads for your brothels and nightclubs with 'services' basically ALL the time?

Ok, I didn't know about Balmung being THAT server when I joined but I leave for Seraph as soon as it was allowed and boom... here they are again, absolutely disgusting ads and ceaseless spam about adult topics and if you say a word against it YOU are the one with an account warning.

I love this game but I do not understand why this filth has to be in public channels ALL THE TIME.

Is there a server that has people focused on the game and not brothels and constantly putting down anybody who is not into that?

I know I can just turn off public chat but if I wanted to play a game alone I would not be on a MMO. I have played a LOT of MMOs and by FAR the worst about this is FF.

Then just turn off the public chat instead of making threatening posts.

A lot of the stuff they bumped is already on it's way to page 2. A lot of people have learned to just let old drama threads being necro bumped are best to be buried as quickly as possible.
