Make Augmented Hellhound obtainable through Trophy Crystals

Bots, wintraders and cheaters shouldn't be rewarded, and on OCE they are the only ones consistently in the top 100 and i bet they make up the majority of them on other datacenters too.

Unique rewards should never be locked behind this kind of system, Seems really counter productive to spend all those dev resources on items only 100 per datacenter will ever see and it will always be the same people every season getting them, why is their sub money worth more than anyone elses hmm?
It certainly shouldn't be because they know how to cheat and exploit a more often than not dead system. (After a few weeks to a few months nobody plays Ranked and nobody can climb, and during the active time it requires luck over skill if you get a group who fights one person on the other side of the map while the rest of the enemy team cap crystal, or if you get people who actually A: Know what their doing, B: Care enough to make any effort.)

Yes they will, there's always those who care about being able to say they are at the top, and if nobody plays? Well then, that means there is a problem with the content and its not the lack of a reward.

God forbid an MMO have any kind of aspirational content or unique rewards for people who actually put the effort in and actually enjoy playing the game.
If you don't think the rewards are worth the effort you don't have to put the effort in but that doesn't mean you should be given the stuff just for logging in.

I say don't remove them from ranked but make it available to the crystal shop for like 20k crystals per item, if something is not 100% locked behind a mode the majority hates, people will feel less inclined to cheat and will instead just grind the crystals out.

You are still putting the blame on the players and suggesting a band-aid fix for the supposed problems of cheaters running rampant in the system.
Also find it interesting that so many players can detect these elusive cheaters and post about it on the forums and some how Square cannot with their own game.
And yet these same players are also unable to even reach diamond/crystal yet are so SO certain that cheaters are in every ranked CC match.

I'm sure if Square did implement an anti-cheat, the goal post would just be moved again, just like the complaints about "why does top 100 get unique stuff" has now moved to "why does ranked get any unique stuff".

Obviously cheaters are cheaters.. if they ever cared to look into reports for PVP they probably don't take most reports seriously because people just report anyone that is better than them.
Anyways the solution isn't to make players better at reporting cheaters but to have systems in place to detect them.
All this is pointless anyway because I seriously doubt there are as many cheaters as some in this forum like to suggest.

Your suggested "stop gap" is to remove what little incentive there is to do ranked in the first place.
You don't care about ranked so you don't care about it dying so I guess its hard for you to comprehend other people might want to continue playing ranked and the player count for it is already lacking so your solution is to spit in their face so that you can have shiny things.

No thanks i prefer the relic weapon glows all day everyday.
so long as we can just buy the non glows idgaf really anymore.

also there are cheaters, you just don't know what to look for and neither do the mods... also anti cheat wont do anything against win-traders which are the biggest offenders lol
