Don't you know? They put all of their budget into that food animation in recent cutscenes. They are trying to outclass Yakuza's bread animation but failing at it.

OP, genuine question: There's anything you like about the game? If not, why do you even spend money on a game you don't enjoy?
Its an alt of a notorious troll who gets tons of burner accounts and they make posts like this making it look genuine but they're doing it deliberately to rile up the community...only to the next day make another thread or post contradicting their opinion in this instance.
Man you can really tell how much of a nitpick this is
Well at least they aren't doing like the Sopranos and cutting things off mid...
Dealing with bad-faith forum posters who tell you to quit or say your concern is in the minority:Be firm but polite, recognize their tactics and don't fall into their traps.
- Do not engage in their bad-faith attacks.
- Warn others of their bad-faith if they have a long history of it.
- Continue the productive conversation and silently report them for personal attacks.
I haven't experienced EW yet, but I assume ... FFXVI? (Does seem a bit odd for a studio running an MMO to also concurrently make one of the biggest and assumedly most resource-demanding video game releases in recent Japanese history ... I mean I'm sure they got some extra help, but still.)
But in a wider sense, I assume the money has been going to other SE products that are short lived, like FFVII: The First Soldier, and the wide plethora of mobile games they've closed recently (and whatever they attempt next -- they seem worried about $$$ lately: 'Square Enix Announces Declining Financial Results; Planning Multiple New Games Including New IP' [TechRaptor]).
Yoshi-P is technically on the board, but he doesn't want to be there, which raises the question of how much influence he actually has over where the revenue from the cashcow that is XIV actually goes.
Oh I see. Thanks for explaining (new here). Its an alt of a notorious troll who gets tons of burner accounts and they make posts like this making it look genuine but they're doing it deliberately to rile up the community...only to the next day make another thread or post contradicting their opinion in this instance.

Perhaps they wouldn't need to be worried about money if they focused on making good games instead of fumbling all over the board with pointless spinoffs and failures like Forspoken.I haven't experienced EW yet, but I assume ... Bad-faith personal attack aside, why is it that other AAA games don't need to do this while FF14 and FF16 do?besides this troll making another post I think the examples said don't really impact anything...like why spend all that time and resource for stuff that doesn't impact the narrative or the thing at large. I don't need a montage of animations for them making my relic how it is now is fine. Handing over items is forgivable in an MMO because of how many items you'd have to animate for etc so its just the lesser evil. Its not laziness (I'm not broadly painting this) its just picking what really needs to be animated and what doesn't. Now if you say oh the 2 food scenes lately...the graha burger was in a scene that was a much needed respite for our party and for zero it was more about sharing and whatever else they had going for her friendship I suppose so they were applicable to the scene.
I will agree they need to move out of the whole B tier cutscene of shot reverse shot basic animation play and they can do that if they are looking into their animation pool which they mentioned back in Feb 2022. Longer emotes or the freedom to do more with allocation could add to scenes and I hope its something they look at.
FF16 is a $70 AAA game where in half the cutscenes, the models' facial animations were as bad as Mass Effect Andromeda, and while Andromeda was mocked for that, it seems that FF16 escaped that fate because players' standards are extremely low when it comes to FF.
