At the same time food prices are going up, so the underprivileged have even LESS money to spend on entertainment.

With current events stripping away means for underprivileged and underserved communities to move upwards in society, I think we as a people need to leave no stone unturned and find solutions to help redress the grave setback of social progress. Every little bit helps right now and as a community we need to reach out to Square Enix and ask if they wish to aid this effort.

I propose that we reduce the subscription fee by $3 per month for players from an underprivileged and underserved background and community. Although $3 may seem like a small gesture, every little bit of gesture helps right now. Square Enix, please do the right thing and allow players from these backgrounds to feel heard in your game.

If anything they should increase the prices due to inflation, you get alot for this feble amount and there is two ways to subscribe to FFXIV... Entry is 30 days for 12.99 and standard is 14.99... which means if you only like the game in doses you will only have to ever pay 12.99... eg. patch only player... and those that like the game can get the same discount, if they pay for 180 days up front.

You get alot with FFXIV, and if your illusion is that it is only supposed to be brand new content, well then you will always be disappointed in ANY MMO out there, however SE can justify it fair and square, you get alot of game for the current subsctiptions or paid gametime.

If you then start with whatever AAA game only costs that... then look at those so called AAA games is only offering liek 15-75hours of play, where as you easely can end up mapping several thousand of hours in FFXIV, i myself got more than 18000 hours mapped which would sum up to if we say the standard for an AAA game is, being generous 75hours, ~220 AAA games worth of play equaling, if the price of these games is 60 dollars, around 13.200 dollars.

I have been here almost 7 years --> that is 84months 84 x 12.99 = 1100 dollars. that is like having bought 18 AAA games over 7 years... now we have 18 AAA games lets add up combined game time... we being VERY generous with giving each AAA 75 hours that sums up to 1364 hours over 7 year span.
