- My first FC was called Quiet Storm, and their recruitment announcement is still around, but if I remember correctly, they just dissolved into aether like Aerith. That was almost ten years ago.
- My second FC was called Onslaught, and I THINK they're still around? Maybe not though.. but that was one of those that had 30ish active people and then they just faded away into their own thing. I have good memories with them.
- My third FC is a small (though mostly inactive) FC with 6 other people. None of them is active anymore, but the FC technically still exists. I stopped playing my Lalafell at this point.

- My fourth FC was called Hokuten. About 200ish people? Pretty active actually, but then one day the leader logs in, passes lead rights to someone random and LEAVES without a word. Everything blew up, with half the FC wanting to stay and the other half leaving, taking gil from the chest and house furnishings.
- My fifth FC was called Soldier, and I was there only because a friend. Somewhat big, but we ended up leaving.
- My sixth FC was called... I actually don't remember, but it was one of those with 200 members and only about two or three of us barely logging in. I left because nothing ever happened and I barely knew anyone.
- My seventh FC was called Guard, and I joined with my RL sister. It was about the size of Hokuten, or maybe a bit smaller? There were some good people there I still talk to, but then management made a bunch of mistakes, and we left. The FC seemingly later split and I don't think the original one exists anymore.

- My eight and current FC is called Greywing Initiative, and my sister and I made it. We're about 15 people, as we only ever invited personal friends, and we just celebrated two years back in April. Best FC I've been in! Because it's our FC and because it's my sister and I running it, I don't think I'll be leaving this one.

FC hunting is bound to be a ride. I hope you can eventually find the group that just right for you, because I get what you're saying.

We're playing a game with anti-social introverts who have social anxiety waiting for someone else who feels the exact same to take the first step. A lot of people also already have their core friends established and feel like they can't fit anymore within their lives. So you are reduced to being a game friend and nothing more. There's also the fact that people are very distrusting on the internet, cynical, and will often throw you away and under the bus at the first sign of any, what they deem creepy, dramatic, or problematic. I learned over the years that the more I reveal about myself to a person, the less they seem to want anything to do with me. Almost like staying shrouded in mystery keeps them hooked. You also need to be constantly positive, cause if you're negative for any which reason or vent, (especially if they think your problems are petty), they consider you a toxic person. People are super judgmental, and they fake being your friend just so you aren't a problem to them.

Thanks, my current FC is one that I don't wanna leave, but I'm just afraid some major event is gonna occur where I have to go find another FC. I just wish there was an easy way to tell my FC mates that I care for them, and I don't wanna grow distant. Since that's already kinda happening with one of the members, who I was pretty good friends with.

I can relate, though i did prevent your problems kinda by taking over my first FC after a while...

But we had that so many times, close friends, ppl you played every day and knew, or at least several times a week on a "you know they'll be there for sure" base,
but then ppl get into savage and arrange their whole game around it... "oh we cant do the new patch with you unless you skip all cutscenes so we can raid ASAP..." (that was taken care of finally now)
couples get into fights, ppl pick sides and leave or one stops playing... or ppl just move servers for reasons, like having a shift where here in europe the servers are dead...
I had several "we do a raid fc" or "ill join one" and that ended pretty quick 8/10 times - it does work if ppl are actually friends and got that one catalyst to make em stick together lol
...but many times i just burns em out.

Its much like the Overlord premise, in the end youll be alone...

We tried so many times gettin new ppl but players stop or get want entertainment 24/7 and are better suited for RP groups... so many cant just play together casually and do stuff whenever theres the chance, with some extreme or raid planned every now and then...

Also Discord and stuff doesnt help, imo it tends to split ppl even more... >_>


Its sill for my age, but i cant be helped, i feel so hurt every time theres someone with "oh it was fun today, see ya tomorrow" only to never return again...

My advice, and advice you will get from others, is to keep raiding life and FC/social life completely separate.

Different player pools for different reasons.

There's a reason people usually join statics, that are entirely separate from their FC, for raiding.

This is why I like my Discord group. We are all just friends from the forums/game and understand people have lives and may get bored of the game and move on. We all understand this.

Sorry your groups disband over such trivial things. Hopefully you find something that you are looking for. I would suggest just having an active friends list over just a simple FC. If people on your friends list stop playing or whatever you can always make a new friend.

This is incredibly offensive. Having social anxiety is NOT anti-social. Many people with social anxiety want to be social but are afraid to.

Never been able to make a friend(s) in this game, the only one i play with are people i know from RL.

The few fcs i joined since 2013 have also either died or have 200 members but less then 10 online at a time. I end up going back to a fc with just close friends since it can be hard trying to find a fc and a new group.
