Can the game please stop erasing our hard-earned buffs?

Leveling RDM. I build up full bars of red and black mana, and even a full set of mana stacks, ready to use on the next boss, trash pack,or hunt target.
Then, I cross a line of blue dots, and it's all GONE!

Please SE, let us keep what we earned when going through these gateways in the world and dungeons.

I've never noticed losing RDM gauge from crossing a zone line inside a dungeon. I'm pretty sure it's just an overworld thing.

Travel lines inside dungeons do not count as zoning and do not reset job gauges.

I think they mean when you enter a dungeon. For instance let's say you were out doing some fates in a zone on rdm or another job that collects a buff that stays there even after battle has ceased. Then your que pops and even if it's for something at your class/job's level it goes and resets. In the case of an RDM it'd be like if you had enough black and white built up so that you could go into your melee combo. Or a MNK with a full chakara bar filled.

No because it would create an environment where, before you queue for a savage fight, you'd build up your job gauge outside and go in with full resources built. Then after wiping, you would exit the raid and repeat that. It would be a massive waste of time and also a reversal of the changes made in 3.4, where they added cooldown reset after wiping. Before 3.4, cooldowns didn't reset after wiping and players had to wait 7 minutes BETWEEN PULLS for invulns to come off CD. It was toxic and it wasted everyone's time. We also had cases where players could use certain skills out of combat to build resources, which also wasted everyone's time (Like Aetherflow on SCH). Everyone starts with a blank slate inside an instanced zone, for balance and for sanity.

No to keeping it when going into a dungeon/raid, i dont want to have to max my gauge before every pull on savage because that would 100% become the standard
Yes to not losing gauge when teleporting in the overworld. makes doing hunts obnoxious with certain jobs

If it can be built with a single button-press from outside of combat (a la Chakra), sure, have it automatically filled. That's just QoL.

If not, though, you're asking for a job's opener to be completely changed and for its DPS to be higher the shorter the fight lasts. That is a not a good idea.

    In short:
    • Chakra? Sure.
    • Huton? Sure. (And with no duration drain until combat starts.)
    • Everything else? No. Absolutely not.
