We have always had the 14 hour broadcast around the time of the Anniversary. Now, upon him working on XVi and all the issues XIV has had because of it (Just go back and look at the release of EW among other things and quality and even him saying he took too much on) it's just in our faces. We're not even getting the nice 14 hour broadcast until NEXT YEAR even though our Anniversary event in game will be soon. Come on man.

EDIT: It's not even like, an "Off" year. But literally 10 years and the Expac we wrapped up our starting journey.

But they'll keep pushing in that direction because that's ultimately what they want everyone to believe, whether it be through tactics like whataboutism (a certain Viera is probably going to bring up WoW again), asking for hard evidence that no player has access to (a certain lala is probably going to do that), trying to devalue your feelings and launch into blaming the players (as they often do... expect comments like "this doesn't actually matter" / "get over it"), or just straight up jumping into attacks like telling you to unsub.

And as usual, expect lots of quotations from the Little Red Book of Yoshi-P as these bad-faith forum posters seek to establish credibility to citing alternative facts by conflating corporate PR mouthpieces with reality, despite the overwhelming evidence that what SE or CBU3 says sometimes does not match what is reality.

If Dutyqueues are any indication, the silent majority isnt playing the game. No, having the game open in the background or using it as a second life-esque modding platform doesnt count as "playing the game"

Yes, he has definitely taken too much on, it's pretty apparent in the PLLs when they've been done - The atmosphere just feels... Different - I don't think it's the nature of what is revealed, but just the how and overall vibe. There are also things that shouldn't have happened - That did happen.

My guess is it is just based on what they have planned (e.g., they might intend to announce stuff which could be relevant to what would otherwise be in other Live Letters, e.g., 6.5, 6.55, and the availability of other people that may or may not be present.

That said, Spring 2024 would essentially be the time when the expansion launches - Quite literally around the corner.

Probably on top of it. 6.4 was end of May while puts 6.5 probably early October. I'm expecting end of April/start of May unless they announce a long delay in the release.

But it feels weird that that would hold an event that has always heavily targeted the JP community and ignores the international community (outside of maybe a live translation for a Live Letter) as the expansion launch event. Unless this time they plan to make it inclusive but I really can't see them doing that.
