For all of the gripes, whines, petulant continual complaints ( "propaganda" - get real ), it would seem that everyone else is looking forward to all of it. Including me.

So theres merch. So? So what?

Name me big events that DIDNT have merch, every single large event I have ever been to had memorabilia for sale. Name me ONE big star that DIDNT have merch on sale at their concerts.

I even still have a program and poster for the Heaven and Hell tour in Sydney. God I loved Dio, that man had a soaring voice. Have merch from David Bowie Serious Moonlight tour.

This is..news to anyone??

Multinational tournaments...ooh yes I would love to see OCE kick some serious tail. All in all, its going to be a kickass anniversary. Cant wait.

The Rising....will be a memorable day. Ten years of continuing success..if I had any regrets, its that i wasnt here earlier.

I'm not necessarily mad at selling merch. Don't get me wrong, I get that it's a smart move business wise to do it in tandem with the anniversary. My issue comes where it feels like more resources are being put towards that instead of actually providing something special for the community in the game itself. If it was more of an even split where there were tons of merch options available irl and also like...tons of events going on in game and free rewards sent out (maybe even a new collab in game), I'd be way more excited than I am. As I said, I'm holding onto a shred of hope that they'll do something special with Moogle and Rising but I can't help but feel like "in-game" should be getting as good of a treatment as irl will be.

Do they? The possible PC port is at least two years away if not more, YoshiP already said as much. You have NO idea whatsoever. None.

Who knows, maybe once that's done in 2 years they will start working on FFXIV again, woohoo ! But please dont forget to buy mog station mounts and glams !

No, and I think it's valid considering how they've done their events for the past three years of me being here. But I'll wait and see.

As a lady I once knew and adored beyond measure said "No need to borrow trouble, even less to go look for it" Ill wait and see as well, big difference is I wont expect the worst as some (Not you, Liana ) seem to do all the damned time.

Yup.

It's the weirdest thing to me for people to keep engaging with something they seem to absolutely HATE SO MUCH. And for all those insisting they love it and want it to be better, no, snide comments like "propaganda" (really??) and the incessant downering is NOT what someone who loves something does.

I'm curious to see what else develops and I think the Rising this year should be lovely, etc. And as you say, the fanfests are sold out solid. Apparently PLENTY of people disagree with the naysayers. And I'm not even one of those since I don't like going to big events and figure the tickets are better left to those who do.
