I had a dream about 7.0...

I dreamed of a FFXIV better than it was ever before. In this new expansion we got:

- A totally rewamped character creation. All races got double the amount of faces, new hairstyles added, au'ras could change their horns independently, miqos got couerl ears and stripped tails, body painting added, ass slider added, femroth added;
- Geomancer and Corsair added, Beastmaster added as a limited job;
- New exploratory zone;
- 2 regular dungeons and 2 variant/criterion dungeons per patch;
- Fates all the way through ARR give bicolor gemstones and new rewards added;
- Levequests and Levemetes reworked, now they actually mean something;
- Ranked PVP removed but leaderboards still exist based on performance;
- Way more insland sanctuary stuff;
- Way more rewards on the achievement vendor;
- Lakeland housing district;
- No more 2 minute meta;
- New Blue Mage mount for Omega and Eden Savage (Chimera);
- Blue Mage roulette;
- Summoner can summon Ramuh, Shiva and Leviathan on Phoenix phase;
- Portrait system fixed, now it works even when you're not equipped with the exact same items (just like Adventurer Plates);
- Scion dating sim added;
- DPS metter, chat bubbles, in-game performance mode DAW, housing system with coordinates and unlimited preview mode, NoClipply function, customizable shader and a lot of other QoL mods implemented to the game;
- Oh, and by the way, the graphic upgrade looks amazing, better than the mods could ever achieve.

And even then people were still complaining about the game in the forums.

How else would you want Beastmaster to work in FFXIV? You want it to be like Summoner?

XIV seems very ill fit for a true concept of a pet job - as in, where you play 2 instances at once, you and your pet. I'd love to see it, I just don't think that's very likely - given how SMN strayed off the 'pet' path.

The only way I could truly enjoy a BST like Summoner or even Reaper (i.e. pet manifesting through animations) would be if they found a way to let them customize their pets' appearances to dozens of different skins. But that would also shit on SMN's head, years asking for new egi glamours and all that they have is another shade of green carbuncle.
