recently i had a fun little tam-tara run. i just pulled everything including the boss (not that you can call these enemies bosses, but the purple line seems to scare people from pulling more).
nobody complained and no problems occured... pls more of it

Welp.. for starter, I've read a lot of 'that Dead Ends runs'-stories from this thread and other sources where people end up spending more than 30m in said sessions because of the hilarity they were presented in. Personally? I have NEVER experienced that sort of run myself at least as far as I can remember... until just now.

GNB (Me), SGE, and double SMN. The SGE and one of the SMN are first timer into the dungeon.

When the duty commences, SGE immediately turns on Kardion ("Yep, standard.") plus Kerachole + Physis II right off the bat ("Wait, what?"). No mobs just yet, we're still running toward the first pack...

"Okay, well whatever." I said in my mind.

SGE were spewing random abilities in no particular pattern. But obviously wasn't enough to keep me healthy dealing with the wall pull. Alright... 1st Bolide it is.

Second wall pull. This time something similar happens, but we got out unscathed because one of the SMN throw out their Phoenixcogitation at me. Hey, whoever did that you have my thanks q.q

First boss was akin to any of those horror dead ends stories I've read: Necrosis for one, Necrosis for two, Necrosis for everybody, without Esuna on top. I ended up having to solo the boss from 20%. The fight must've took at least 5 minutes because my Superbolide was like 30s from coming off cooldown by the time the boss was dead.

Ah well... moving on to next wall pull. Similar thing happens again where I had to bolide. The party wiped on the wall pull after that. Eh? No biggie, let's do it again. There goes the 3rd bolide. I had a hunch the SGE was probably having trouble to properly target me in the midst things happening, because majority of heals that I received mainly comes from their randomly spewed AoE heals. So... I gave them a little tips. Whether or not they received that well, I'll leave that to Mother Nymeia to decide.

Second boss? Less chaotic, but I concur it also took at least 5 minutes because again... the bolide timer tells me that much. The other SMN (not the first timer) made their personal mission to be a resurrection-bot to scrape the two first timers entire time.. which suffice to say, much appreciated.

Alright second boss down. Moving on to next wall pull. Yikes okay, that's the 4th bolide lmao. I kinda hesitated on next pull after all those bolides, but one of the SMN accidentally pulled the next pack so... well okay, whatever. Let's do it. Ehheeyy, surprise! That was the only wall pull properly done..! I could see the SGE tried to replicate what I advised earlier so I guess that's a win for me.

Ra-La? Yep. Chaotic. Chaotic as hell. 5th Bolide happened. I also tried to Aurora/HoC the 2nd SMN, saving them from deaths several times but eventually we still wiped at 10%. We did clear on 2nd attempt. Both SMN have figured what to avoid, so those two were raise botting whoever kisses the dirt until we finally cleared. I took a look on my chatlog, the run lasted for at least 36m.

Honestly? I would say it felt miserable but at the same time... quite satisfactory. I laughed a lot, but I guess that's just me on a good mood today.

Seemed like a nice bunch of folks, at least they were honest with me. But what if this is the reason for every single commendation I ever got? Would I even want to know??

Had a nice Euphrosyne. One DPS is leeching(suiciding off the edge of the platform every chance/literally sprinting towards tank busters), so I just started leaving him dead. I would've liked to vote kick but it didn't seem like it was worth it.

Our tank rushed the last boss immediately instead of waiting for the cutsceners(and there was people from other parties asking before they did too). I was just going to ignore it but said tank immediately had an ego trip when we finished the run so I pointed it out to them before leaving.

What i wonder here is the following. You clearly seem to notice that the SGE is new and struggeling and still pull wall to wall? At least have the decency as an experienced player to slow down a bit.

Im pretty sure they said after noticing the struggle, they adjusted. That’s not elitism. Elitism is not expecting that by max level, someone be half competent at their class, and can play by the meta of wall to wall. Especially as a preemptive healer (shields).

I’d look up what elitism is buddy.

Lv90 SGE, a job that starts from lv70.
"New"?

Imho that's not an excuse to an inability to at least purely heal with Diagnosis 100% without dpsing (Yes, I will manage even if that's the only thing they do the entire time.)

Idk how far lower the bar has to be set if spamming a lv4 spell in a lv90 dungeon at a single target is still deemed too hard. I'm not even expecting them to do it flawlessly like those rare specimens known as 0 GCD healers in DF encounters. If what I did still an 'elitism' to you then so be it. :shrug:

Mind you, they managed to improve ever so slightly at last pull that we walled successfully and that was after I offered them a quick advice. If I continued to coddle them, at that point then I would be enabling them to continue play terribly.

I met a couple of players especially tanks and healers with no game sense and i mean ZERO. Gathering makers ignored, turn in circles with the boss or running around with the boss or mobs and the classic, as a healer, spamm the basic heal until a second tank grows. I am not mean or anything but in an extreme or even lvl 90 content i expect atleast : what do youre buttons on a base level and which markers do what.

I found an DNC that told me MCH does no damage, in an Expert, and for that reason she would partner the tank instead of me...
Expert runs in the evening are wild.

I swear it's always the dirt munchers that get the drops. Imagine getting top dps with any contest, even despite the fact that you ate dirt yourself once because one of the tanks decided to panic and run across half the arena to drop a tankbuster on you and you still don't get the drop.

Nah. If you did poorly they would give NO commendation. If you get a group and they comm you...you earned it somehow. Being good, Being helpful, being entertaining, or maybe cause everyone else sucked but you.
