Its not that ffxiv isnt a main mmo, its just one you feel isnt worth playing anymore. its good to come to terms with that. Have fun in GW2, maybe we'll meet.

Glad you found there is value in playing other games in addition to FFXIV as others have been suggesting.
Are there things done differently in GW2 that you think are designed better than the equivalent content here, or is it more interesting because of the new/novelty factor?
Don't confuse the words of a few posters as being representative of the entire community. That's being just as bad as those few that you're complaining about.what the hell is wrong with yall lmao
you people complain that people dont play other games and that they should just quit, and when they do and they post that they finally took the jump and change to a different game, also thanking people making them understand that it would be better to play something else, yall still shit on them because "ok bye no one cares" "ok but who asked" "stop bragging"
this community seriously
It was nice until yall had to open your mouth instead of being kind, wishing them the best and moving on with your life or not saying anything at all, but no you people have to open your mouth and be condescending towards someone literally thanking the community for making them understand that they would be better playing something else, and also giving feedback while doing so.
The fact people keep complaining about troll threads and just trolls in general, you people reap what you sow.
Your obession with WoW is concerning. If you dont want to actually play video games, just dont and stop telling people that actually want to use their brains that they are wrong and "must be wow players"\its actually the WOW mentality writ large
"You should WANT to raid you should WANT to do M plus" Whats your excuse for not raiding" and the ultimate classic
"It you wont do HARD content its because you actually cant". Its obnoxious. I saw that earlier with a specific forum troll who sneered "You say you dont want to the truth is youre bad and cant do it"
HOW DARE people do what THEY want instead of what others think they SHOULD DO. THE NERVE of people having choices she doesnt approve of.
This.
Is.
a.
video.
game.
We aint curing cancer, we aint building Mars rockets here.
Thats nice, OP, now tell us what your reasons were for posting this in the first place, aside, of course, from slinging mud at others, and generally making yet another asinine "FF 14 is a bad game because reasons....."
I have GW2. it is interesting , has some bad sides as well as good ones, but I can speak of other MMOs that have the same, each has its own appeal for its own reasons.
Your point is?
I knew that coming into the game April 2019 . i am glad you are enjoying yourself but again I ask:
..why did you post this in the first place?
I agree. You and more than a few others. Me? Im running up some craft stuff right now, then Im going to Skyrim, GW2, chess.
Dixie, if any video game is giving you THIS much heartache then yes, walk away for a while, good idea. Piece of advice, however?
This
is and was unworthy of you.
And how rich telling others about having heartache over games when all you do on this forum is pretending WoW physically manifested in your house and kicked your family.

Can't say GW2 is that good, with its dozens of currencies that is unique to a specific Living Season zone.
Honestly the biggest eye opener with GW2 is how active the open world is, people don't just sit in cities, there is always a meta event happening somewhere on the map and people flock to them to get participation awards, that is usually tied to legendary/ascendant crafting.
It's like, having a FATE, that goes for ~30 minutes, taking you around the map and building up to a big event with a world boss at the end.
'Battle for Jade Sea' is the latest endgame meta event, and was honestly breathtaking with how the entire event takes place, with big groups of players setting up for the siege and getting all the preparations done in order to fight the final boss, in a big grand showdown.

It's designed so that it doesn't have to be a main MMO and to fit with most people's habit of logging in when a game releases a new patch/DLC, then getting bored after a few days and playing another game that released a patch/DLC.
The content for the people who stay a long time is really things like mount, minion, TT card or glamour collection, sometimes raid progression or social activities like roleplaying.
It's not quite as long in duration or sophistication as in GW2, but FFXIV does have hunt trains or S rank spawning that can be fun and get a lot of participation.
That does seem really good. I think as it stands, even when FATEs involve a long chain like that such as in Shadowbringers or ARR areas, hardly anybody cares. The way they could make people care is to make the rewards better, unique, untradable, necessary, and need to be replenished regularly. And to involve all the different class/job roles doing a unique thing that only they can do to support the battle so that you don't have someone just soloing it.It's like, having a FATE, that goes for ~30 minutes, taking you around the map and building up to a big event with a world boss at the end.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."
