    Btw, grats on first AV My ls had our first run a day ago too :P Mega-potion is ok as a lifesaver, but mega-potion should be an item you use frequently and you can earn lots of gil by selling at high demand, dont you aggree? A whitemage is so much better than a mega-potion you will forget theire even in youre inventory. (tested this by giving all team mebers some potions, none used em, it was a wipe though.)

    It's allready pretty damn powerfull being able to heal 600 HP with just the use of a item.

    You want something worth the cost then? Go farm some Vampire plant and get some Elixers made.

    I did, they sell for 20k on market, that is 15k gil per hour if you farm for them frequently. Vampire plant sell for 20k on market, what to buy, elixir or vampire plant? id sell the plant. (The plant also sells more frequently than elixir.)

    edit:
    600 hp is nothing, its 5 seconds with cure as any class. The same time it takes to find and use that mega-potion.

    Those certainly are nice, if people knew about them id sure they sell for a bit
    but how much is 100 enmity? didnt SE earlier say you would get 1 point of enmity per damage and heal ++ depending on different factors? So they wouldnt be any good on higher levels i guess?

    1 minute duration and 4 minute cooldown sounds perfect though.

    if paralysis potion was 1 minute with "chance of enemy not being able to attack" and 4 minute colldown on same enemy, but can use on others as much as one would like, then id be completely satisfied.

    Potions are fine, the only thing I want to see is separate cooldowns based on potion type. If you use a heal potion it shouldn't lock you out from using a buff potion. That's already a known issue.

    While I understand that ALC does still need some tweaks concerning recasts and such, I don't think it's useless and I don't think any of the ingredients for mega-potions are too rare or expensive. You can't make the mats too easy to obtain because of the level of synth, and the boosts you get are slightly OP (despite the time restraints) so I think it's a good balance to be honest.

    Also, Medura, the enmity pots aren't a flat reduce/increase. It's +100/-80 with every action while the effect is active. So it's not just nice, it's actually very very good and almost required of a tank if your party is doing certain amounts of DPS that would otherwise be impossible to keep up with.

    600 HP might sound like nothing but in a bind it can keep you from death, I prefer Elixirs but because of the rarity I only let tanks/healers use them, and they've basically stopped a wipe from happening several times.

    Sleep potions have always been amazing, but I can barely find any Belladonna anymore, it used to be everywhere.

    Poison potions used to be really good too (tossed them around during the Moogle battle and it at least felt like it helped), I haven't tried them out recently to see if it's powerful enough to use even with the 20 second duration.

    Hrm? I- I could have swore that only Elixirs ran a higher delay than than the other healing potions? I WAS running off the assumption that the healing Mega-Potions were still on a 0:45 cooldown, I could be wrong.

    I'm not sure how the usefullness goes then, though i'm a budding alchemist. However, once again I need to retirate, the prices on the market wards and the fact that the price of the ingredients is far higher than that of the finished items are entirely the player's faults. In fact, it's the fault of players like you who say "Vampire plant sell for 20k on market, what to buy, elixir or vampire plant? id sell the plant." with as many people complaining about the difference in prices as I see, you could seriously all band together and force a change in the market.
