Rune Knight or something similar to it.
If it's another casting job, I want it to actually feel like a caster and have cast times, it's a reason Black Mage is by far my favorite caster (and job to play) currently.

I want a new Scouting geared job bc why does ninja still have things only it gets to roll on.
The obvious choice is Corsair bc haha old meme ninja vs pirates but I only want corsair if they decide to be extra silly and make it require an offhand weapon like pld. Could be a gun, could be saber, but it should require two weapons.
I see a lot of people wanting a new caster but Im honestly not sure what they could do. Geomancer is an obvious choice but its billed as a Healer in the ast questline (sorta). Another job that popped up to me from ff's past was Illusionist from ta but that seems too gimmicky to not be a Limited Job, which we never need another one of (why cant we use bluemage in daily roulettes wheres the harm honestly?). The best choice is Necromancer and they could just use that boss from HGs gearset for the af gear its fine.
Necromancer and/or Beastmaster.
Melee dps with dual axes. Melee dps or tank with a giant hammer

Melee DPS with a giant hammer. Give us a brute force fighter.
Some kind of dark-themed healer, so we can group up with dark knight, black mage, and reaper for maximum light party edge. I don't think necromancer is likely due to different countries the game is marketed in having different laws about portraying the dead in video games, but surely they can come up with something.
My first thought whenever this question comes up is Puppetmaster. It was one of my favourites jobs in FF11, and I just love the style of it. That said I fear it would hard to really implement, given how they have kinda walked back on Summons as a mechanic now. Plus it would be near impossible to have them be as customisable as they where both ingameplay and looks… but still, one can hope!
Another would be Corsair, less the FF11 one and think more of a ‘physical’ RDM which combined melee curved sword combat with gun combs, mixed in with perhaps some sea based skill like a giant Kraken tentacle AOE. Plus think of the hats! Beastmaster would be great too, either as main job or more limited one like BLU. Just like in WoW, I would gladly spend hours camping for rare monsters I can tame!
I really like some of the things mentioned here too, Rune Knight would be an awesome DK-like DPS, and I would especially love if its lore is mixed in with say The First and the fae there. A two-handed bludgeoning job would be awesome too, kinda like a Barbarian though I fear it may be a little too much like Warrior. Speaking of which, I would really love perhaps a sword & shield DPS job, as its one of my fav weapon combos, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I don't want to crap on anyone's takes but like...
Necromancer became Reaper
Chemist became Sage
Geomancer is a subclass of White Mage
I guess I'm confused why they are still being asked for when they are indirectly apart of the game already? Sure they aren't true to their source materials, but SE has already stated that some jobs just don't fit in this game.
I want a Job that has Pets that function as their battle buddy and fights with them.
Or a Spirit related Job.
Oh another job I think would be interesting would be Time Mage, either as a debuffing DPS or healer. Mostly because I think you could have a really interesting and unique job story if time travel is involved.
To be fair I can still see them being added in future patches. You can tweek things like Chemisty and Necromancer enough that they can be very different classes, like Necro being more of a ranged Magic DPS with summoner aspects, and Chemist being more about potions and buffs. That said I think we should not be surprised if SE do look at more ‘newer’ classes they can fit into the lore rather then just classic ones for the sake of them.I don't want to crap on anyone's takes but like...
