A bit overdramatic, but also fair.
Positivity is nice, just don't try and force it. It has the opposite effect when it's not genuine.

It is genuine, I honestly love this game, I believe the story is the best any mmorpg has ever done. Combat feels better than say the 4 button rotation in wow (outside burst / cds). Professions are a god send (outside timed nodes), I enjoy this feature more than pve / pvp tbh. There are reasons to log in to do something every day and if you don't want to, you don't feel like you're being punished for it. It is just upsetting to see so much negativity when tbh the gaming industry seems to be going off a cliff and ff14 seems to be one of those few rare gems in the mud.

WoW literally has way more buttons to press than FFXIV, and they all do something, unlike FFXIV's.Combat feels better than say the 4 button rotation in wow (outside burst / cds)
They are fun, until you have done the same casts a million times, and yeah, then it aint very fun anymore.Professions are a god send (outside timed nodes)
Like what ?There are reasons to log in to do something every day and if you don't want to

I'm talking about rotations: Take Elemental Shaman in dragonflight: Flame shock, Lava Blast, Lightning Bolt, Earth shock (4 button basic rotation), now you can add some complexity with the talent tree like Icefury and 4x frost shocks. But it still boils down to a simple rotation that pretty much revolves around 4 abilities as most specs / classes in wow do. Say compared to the Dragoon who has 7 buttons, not counting any ability that has a 30 second cool down or more / global cd weaving. Thats all for single target. They are pretty much the same on aoe rotations though.
I mean if you're doing the same crafting rotation over and over and thats boring, couldn't the same argument apply to combat rotations?
Reasons to logging in: Roulettes, great exp, great tomes, good gil. Beast Tribe dailies. Gold saucer / ocean fishing, controlling the market, island sanctuaries. Not including any of the weekly stuff which has its own list. And yes WoW "has more buttons to press" but you aren't using most of them in single situations like a mob pack, or a single boss fight.

Ele shaman is one of the easiest spec though so I'm not sure that's a good argumentI'm talking about rotations: Take Elemental Shaman in dragonflight: Flame shock, Lava Blast, Lightning Bolt, Earth shock (4 button basic rotation), now you can add some complexity with the talent tree like Icefury and 4x frost shocks. As for reasons to log in, if you are leveling jobs sure, once that's done there is no reason to, tomes can be capped in 2 hrs of hunt trains, as for good gil, uhmm.... ?
Beast tribes same thing really, if you are a new player or at least recent player, yes, if you are an older player that content is long done.
Gold saucer I mean sure, but once again, except if you are after the 4 millions (I think ?) MGP mount, I'm not sure what the point is ? Ocean fishing is cool sure, as for the market I mean you cant do much in any case, FFXIV's MB is a lot less active than WoW's AH.
Island sanctuaries you go once a week to check in on your stuff and that's pretty much it

You bring valid points, but I also know this is just one video game. If one feels like they have done everything there is to do, and there is no reason to log in and play. Why not play a different game? I'm not saying anyone is wrong for wanting this to be their only game as it is a great game, but even Yoshi-P wants his community to take breaks and try other games out... like FF16. If one is to play only one game, play it for hours daily, for years on end, it wouldn't matter what video game it was, people would feel burn out and a sense of nothing to do. I like to juggle between ff14, TW: Warhammer 3, and Diablo 4 atm. But as someone said here I do acknowledge there can be things done to better the content like ff14's mythic plus version. I just am surprised of the sheer negativity the forums has for a game that people claim to main / love.Ele shaman is one of the easiest spec though so I'm not sure that's a good argument

Your feelings may be genuine, but your reason for posting is not. You stated yourself that you were posting it as a reaction, so it gives off the vibes of the post being damage control. It is genuine, I honestly love this game, I believe the story is the best any mmorpg has ever done. I don't disagree with a lot of your points in the OP. I enjoy a lot of what you mentioned. I just don't really feel the need to mention it. I also don't believe that the content I enjoy takes away from the problems the game does have.

Very valid points, I guess the reason i felt motivated to post was damage control for the forum mods / devs looking. I dont want them to think that "everyone hates their game" or "everything they do is wrong", or "everyone just wants to complain lets ignore all forum feedback". And I wanted to share that there are people who do love the game especially if any sprouts are looking at the forums and feel overwhelmed from said negativity and begin questioning their game of choice. But yeah I should of worded my statements better, it does look like my pro's overright people's cons when it doesn't.Your feelings may be genuine, but your reason for posting is not.
