I joked about why they do not want to take off Physick off SMN’s kit because they probably realize how barren SMN’s hotbar will be without that sparkly green icon lmao.
Obviously they need to give the summoner a new resource management (job gauge),
etherflows look totally outdated and inadequate on this rework.
I would like them to reduce the casting times between summons from 2.5s to 1.5s, the elementals summons gcds are much too long and give a slow rotation effect,
even if it means adding spells to the ifrit, garuda and titan and to the 7.0 new primals to compensate for this gcd decrease .
I would also like them to be inspired by the pvp system for phoenix and bahamut
Phoenix instant cast and support spell regen/instant ogcd rez no MP cost (classic rez deleted)
Bahamut High damage launch automatically Megaflare 1.5s cast/2.5s gcd for mono and aoe medium mobility.
They should give more management to carbuncle and thereby create a new resource management for the summoner.
If they dont delete energy drain, I'd like them to merge it with energy siphon x potency fist target x% potency less other targets and rename fester since the summoner no longer inflicts disease.
If they add 3 new elementals summon, I hope they let us choose 3 out of 6 summons with 60s summon CD on,
Mobility or Damage.
Physick scale in INT or delete it .

All I want going forward is new summons. I was thinking about this the other day, but what if we got Ramuh then Levi than Shiva. To me, that would be dope. They control exactly like our current ones. And Shiva becomes the summon after Phoenix. Just have it 93, 96, 99, or 100 whatever they land on.
The only gauge you have to build is using your restraint to not fester on the off 1 minutes and save it so you can dump 4 festers in the buff window

DPS is the only Role with decent variety, while the SMN kit should be expanded upon, they should strive to make each of them play differently instead of just being a reskin of each other.
Tanks and Healers are already suffering from becoming more and more same-y, they should take a note from the DPS playbook.
If that's how you want to see it, I'm okay with that. What you think about Summoner matters very little to me, but I hope you find a job you do enjoy for the gameplay. I love the Summoners gameplay personally.
I love Summoner thematically, and I like it gameplay-wise too, I just feel like something is missing you know? It's almost like they skipped 20 levels or something.
There is almost no skill expression in the job aside making sure you arnt stuck in ifrit in a heavy movement phase and if you want to be extra sweaty your swiftcast timing in order to optimize your pot window. That’s really it
