I gave up on trying to play ranked PVP on Dynamis

The thing that bothers me the most is the inability to play ranked PVP in other servers. Using Data Center travel all the time is annoying, but at least solves the other problems.

It's an issue to lesser extent on some other DCs depending on the Season and time. Last Season I missed the early rush on my Light character and tried to queue around the day during the last week and only got like 3 games on the very last day before servers went down.

The shorter seasons are extremely dead outside of the initial rush and the longer ones will start to decay after few weeks unless there has been raid tier and other content that delayed the regulars from playing. At least the longer ones tend to be slightly active towards the end.

I'm fairly sure they aren't doing much about it as long as the JP players have their queues pop with no issues. Supposedly they can even play Rival Wings without having to go out of their way to organize the matches.

I remember when Dynamis opened. Nowhere did it say "come here if you want a dead DC experience!" Nowhere did it even say "curb your expectations! This place will be dead af for a couple of years." Rather, dynamis in the beginning... was sort of popping off. Does anyone else remember it? The place was jam packed with people. Either people who'd moved there recently, or people starting new characters for the leveling campaign exclusive to that DC, or travelers just checking it out. I went and checked the limsa on seraph, and it was hype as hell. People on other boards were talking about how dynamis was going to be big, and how they were excited to spearhead the creation of a new DC. Venue organizers were making plans to buy a home as soon as possible to get the club scene started. The RPers unofficially said Seraph was their guy and that world became known as the unofficial social hub. It looked good. For about a week.

Then everyone there realized that actually spearheading a new community is time consuming and really difficult so they all came running back to crystal, aether, and primal. The economy was a shitshow so people bought their goods from crystal, aether, and primal. And the housing situation, which seemed to make it all worth the effort, was sorta negated when square went and gave more wards to crystal, aether, and primal shortly after. When SE finally allowed dynasissies to transfer off, a ton of them took the plunge because holy shit imagine trying to sell goods on a DC with no players.

Anyway, now we're in the present and people are really acting like OP should've seen this coming a mile away. Oh no no no. Dynamis players should be handed a free ticket out and an apology imo. They got sooooooo fucking played, and the only consolation they have is "at least I'm not on Materia.'' Do NOT get me wrong though. If you're in this thread and you genuinely enjoy playing on a dead barren empty af world and having to dc travel to get anything done, then by all means you keep living that best life.

Yeah, I decided to play around in ranked mid-season last season and there just wasn't anyone between plat and diamond to play with. That was on primal. The problem with pvp ranked is much larger than just DC transfer. Our casual pops instantly but ranked is about 5 minutes for about 12 or so hours a day from evening till about early morning. That amounts to what 4-5 hours of potential matches for responsible adults? The whole thing is a mistake in its execution.

Oh dear we need to spend 30 seconds out of our day to DC travel for shopping, alliance roulette, and PvP. Truly a tragedy, it's inhumane. Not to mention how I struggle to sell... Oh wait. I don't struggle to sell items here.

Most people don't care about Ranked PvP. I don't do ranked PvP on my main, I don't really care about its rewards. Go ask people on any DC what they think of PvP. You'll get the same response, most players think it sucks and its not a big deal to them. Nobody on Dynamis is really losing anything by being here except a small minority of rankers.

The community on Dynamis is small, and slowly growing. The only mistake they made was launching Dynamis during an FFXIV mid expansion population decline. They should have launched it closer to 7.0 launch. You know its convient the people who complain about Dynamis typically end up being from OTHER DC's. This complaining does not happen on Dynamis, so by all means pack your bags and leave if you don't like what a small community has to offer. I'm sure Balmung has a nice big Limsa full of AFK people you would probably ignore.

Dynamis wont even start to have an active playerbase until 7.0 at the earliest, if that bothers you then you should probably transfer.

This will surely help the Dynamis problem.
