This right here. If they didn't want to be compared, they should have made a different game altogether, instead of carrying over so much of the FFXI artwork.

The other posters also have the right of it, people will compare MMOs to MMOs... cuz they are both MMOs.

Its one thing to compare the two, Its another to make it the same thing. The game was flawed at launch, which is where the races came in. If your argument is that they should make it more like FFXI because the races are the same, then I can't fall behind you on that alone, its not as if you were stuck playing in the character creation screen the whole time. The game had more difference than similarities to its processor.

Everyone has a right to say their piece. To post it over and over again in different threads is just annoying, I'm sure you can at least fall behind me on that. All I'm saying is, make use of the open forum the DEV have presented and give them something fresh to work with.

I did play Final Fantasy XI a while ago, and only for a very short time.. well, not long enough to remember much of it anyway.

Didn't you wonder why people loved and still love XI? Maybe YOU should go back to XI, because you missed one of the most beautiful game ever.

I can't play FFXI. The game no longer exists; with the release of the Abyssea expansions and the lifting of the level cap to 99, it no longer even resembles the game it once was.

You could say the addons ACP, MK, and Shantotto were the beginning of the end, but they still had the spirit of the game in them.

FFXI as it is now is even more like FFXIV. It's like they went backwards. The parties in FFXIV are just like parties in Abyssea.

There's a reason why there are tons of ex-FFXI players playing this game. It's not what it used to be. It's gone.

I was actually feeling a bit depressed about this tonight, as XI was a big part of my life for a very long time and I had so much fun there and met some amazing people. I miss it greatly.

Thank you! I'm glad to see someone agrees with me! I played FFXI as well and it was a wonderful game but it's time to move on people. I hate it when people say that they should bring in more content into FFXIV that was on XI. We have a MMO here that's basically starting over here's a chance for good new content! ^-^

And I feel everyone's pain I left XI because of Abyssea as well. :\
